Chapter 19

"Thank you so much. I'd rather be told I'm handsome than beautiful," Orion replied, accepting the bouquet of sunflowers from me and smelling them with a smile. "Okay, handsome, I can't stay any longer because I have work to finish. So, I'm sorry I couldn't see you through to the end," I said, stroking Orion's blushing cheek. "No problem, thank you for coming here even though you're busy," Orion replied with a smile. After saying goodbye to Orion, I left the exhibition hall to get back to work. Lately I've had a lot of work to handle. I sat in the car and held my cell phone. Even though I didn't see Orion's next appearance directly, I saw it from the video sent by Felix. However, Orion looks very beautiful with the makeup and clothes he is wearing. I smiled seeing Orion's appearance on my cellphone screen. The forest trek was long, and I never thought I'd end up in a forest like this chasing a vampire who was originally in the city. After visiting Orion, I immediately set off in pursuit, and it had been two days since I'd seen him. Since I'd been with him, this was the first time I'd missed a night out. I'd made sure the house was safe, but I still felt worried about Orion. "Boss, it looks like we'll have to wait for help. The enemy numbers are higher than we thought," Walter reported. "We won't have time to wait for help. They're all new vampires, so it shouldn't be a problem," I replied, already feeling exhausted and eager to get home. I might not be physically tired, but I was mentally exhausted. For some reason, I really wanted to go home and meet Orion. I ran a hand through my slightly messy hair and looked around. The forest was dark and silent. It shouldn't be silent, but it felt eerily still, as if the creatures within were trying their best to hide. This usually occurs when a high-level predator is present, making everything invisible. I began to sense something strange. Everyone following me and I were vampires, and we had practically concealed our murderous auras to conceal our presence from the enemy. However, this strange atmosphere clearly indicated a strong murderous aura that deterred other living creatures from revealing themselves. It didn't take long for my team and I to walk through the forest, following the trails left by vampires tracking the enemy. Although I say "enemy," they were more accurately termed "new vampires" whose existence and family tree hadn't yet been recorded. In the vampire world, there's also the concept of family, as vampires are essentially sacred creatures and still have families like humans. Unlike in folklore, earlier vampires, or those still considered pure vampires, were not like the depiction of modern vampires. Pure vampires didn't drink human blood, although they could. Pure vampires, like humans, could have children. The new vampires now included in folklore require human blood to survive. Once they become vampires, they can no longer have children like they did when they were human, or rather, their chances of having children are very slim. I myself can't be considered a pure vampire because I was born not from pure vampire parents but rather from drinking blood and making a pact with a pure vampire, none other than my vampire father. I still need human blood, although not much, to maintain my current strength. How long ago was it that I last drank Orion's blood? I'm just trying to remember, because I think I was so busy flirting with Orion that I forgot to drink a little of his blood. My team and I spotted a cave that seemed to be the hideout for the new vampires. My team and I immediately prepared to enter the cave. The darkness of the cave made me feel uneasy; I felt a pressure very similar to my father's. I slowly entered the cave first, followed by my men. In the darkness of the cave, I was greeted by someone. I stared into the red eyes fixed on the beautiful face of a woman who looked to be in her early 20s. I couldn't remember who this pale-skinned woman was, nor did I know if I had met her before. However, I felt a sense of threat emanating from her. "Oh, so you're Eli. Welcome, come in. There's no need to be shy. It's a dark cave, but it's quite lively here," the woman greeted me, her lips smiling but her eyes looking very cold. "If I may ask, who are you?" I asked, holding my hand in the air to stop Walter and the others from entering the cave. "Haha, so it seems the rumors that the children of the Abraham family no longer recognize their eldest daughter are true. Eli, I heard you were my father's favorite son. Seeing you in person, I can tell you that it's true. Can you show me your Osiris? I once wanted it so badly, but my father wouldn't give it to me for various reasons. But look, you got it even though you're not his flesh and blood," the woman said crazily. From her words, I could conclude that she was also my father's daughter, or more precisely, his biological daughter. It's true. My father is a purebred vampire named Terach Abraham. I'd heard that he had a biological daughter before adopting Azazel. The daughter of a purebred vampire is also a purebred vampire, but it's said that my father's biological daughter has fallen asleep and can't wake up because some of her blood is human. However, who would have thought that now I'd be facing someone who claims to be my father's daughter? And I can believe it because her aura and powers are so similar to my father's. "Why are you so quiet? Don't you know me?" she said, stepping closer to me. "All of you get out of here immediately. Call Itzel to contact my father," I said quietly to Walter. Walter looked hesitant, but I nodded, and he immediately turned and ordered the team to leave quickly. The woman in front of me smiled and quickly ordered her subordinates inside the cave, "Capture them all and don't let them return to where they came from." But my subordinates speed was undeniable, I was confident they would leave this place safely. But I wasn't going to stand idly by. I drew my weapon and slashed as many as I could in one go. Some of that woman's subordinates were willingly cut down by my s***h, while the rest, unconcerned with their companions, quickly left the cave. I tried to stop them by slashing my own sword, but my sword was stopped by a giant hand made of blood. Its power was not to be underestimated, and I quickly withdrew my power to prevent my sword from being destroyed by the giant hand. "Why don't you bring out your Osiris? I'm very curious about the Osiris my father gave you, his beloved child," the woman said, her face still smiling and her giant hand behind her.
