Seo Miji's Point Of View: I once looked at the orphanage where i almost grow up. There were alot of memories i've created there. I can't believe that i am leaving them. Sister Mari is waving at me with a tears on her eyes. I smiled and i waved back. She was the one who comforted me in my darkest days. She was my first friend that whose always on my side when none of the kids back in my age dared to befriend me. We rode to his car and we went to Seoul. It was kinda far from the orphanage that's why i felt asleep. He shake my shoulder that made me wake up. We're already in his house. It was not that big but i can say that their family belongs to one of the wealthy family. "Welcome to our home, Miji." Uncle said as we enter his house. I looked at the lady who's walking toward us. He hugged him and kissed its lips. Well, things couples always do that makes me always say my favorite word. Cringe. I'm always curious why do couples always kissing their partners like that? It's disgusting tho. "Honey, is this your niece? She was pretty!" she hugged me and her smile cannot be erased. "Somi, bring Miji to her room so that she could rest." Uncle commanded the maid. "Ugh, why? I want to know about her more!" "Honey, she need to take a rest. The orphanage is quite far from Seoul." "Okay." She pouted. She carried my duffle bag and we go up stairs. I'm kinda tired and i need to take a rest. She opened the door and she put down my bag on the floor. I thanked her and she left. I stared at my new room. The wall was colored sky blue. There a king sized bed, a book shelve, a study table, two big cabinets, a comfort room and a window near the bed. It's not bad actually. I fixed my things and i change my clothes into a shorts and a oversized white t-shirt. A knock was heard on my room. I open it and i saw the maid earlier. I guess her name is Somi? "Ms. Miji, the dinner is ready." I followed her. I saw Aunt Jihyo and Uncle Sengwa on the dinning table. I don't know who is the other guy is. I sat besides Uncle. Before we eat, Aunt spoke. "This is Seo Miji, your cousin. Miji, this is my son." "I'm Lee Hangyul." He smiled. His hair is black, with a red highlight. And he has a shining earing both sides. This one looks like a foreign. But his parents were both korean. And we started eating. Finally, i am hungry. I thought we were just gonna stare at the foods on the table. "Miji, where's your dad?" Uncle asked. "He already passed away, Uncle." I answered. "Years ago." He died in a car accident. My parents were fighting that time and dad decided to leave to cool down their heads. Sadly, he died. My mom is always blaming herself that it was her fault that he died. Even though it's not. "Honey! Don't say that to her." "I'm sorry about that." He apologized. "I know it's hard for you about what happend, Miji. You lost both of your parents. And you got separated to your sister." I forced a smile. To show them it's alright. I have a sister but we got separated when she got adopted by someone whose wealthy. She even promised me that she won't leave me alone. But she lied. At that day, i started to hate her because she left me alone in the orphanage. The children keep bullying me for being an sh¡t kid that's why my parents died and my sister left me. Maybe i was born to be left behind, to be forgotten. "It's okay Miji, we're your second family from now on." Hangyul said. "Thank you. Uncle thanks for adopting me. I promise i'll be good." "Starting tomorrow, you'll be studying in Quantumn Leap Academy Where in, your cousin studies." Uncle explained. "Your school things are in your room already." "Everyone, we should be asleep now." I nod, i stand up and i go to my new room. I saw a uniform, placed on my cabinet. I took it out and i stared at it. White unisex polo shirt, black eight-panel gore and a back pack. At the pocket of the polo, there's a logo of the school. I put it back and i lay on my bed. I'm trying to sleep but i can't. I also tried different positions but it doesn't worked too. I was too pre-occupied. I went to the kitchen to drink water. I can't believe that i still have a relative that i can call family. I thought i will be hiding at the darkness forever. Lee Dong Wook, she was somehow my Uncle because she was my mother's cousin. They are not that close but they still adopted me despite that i'm already old enough. They found out that i am all alone. And they quickly fixed the papers to legally adopt me. So that they could be my guardian since i'm still seventeen years of age. Still not legal tho. I go back to my room and i lay on the bed. I still can't sleep so i stared at the plain ceiling. Those memories were all starting to flash from the start. Whenever i remember that moment, i can't help but to cry. Why? Why i have to suffer? It's not my fault that they died. It's not my fault that i grew up like this, a weak girl. I missed my mom so much. I was crying silently, not creating any noise. I might wake them up. That would be pretty embarassing. A soft four knocks was heard to the bedroom's door. I stood up then i wiped my tears and i opened the door. "Did i wake you up?" she softly asked. "Uh, no Auntie. Actually, i can't sleep..." "Do you have a problem? We can talk about that." I let her in. She sat on the bed and i also sat next to her. I told her that i just missed my mother so much. Who wouldn't miss their parents especially the woman who gave birth at us? "You're too young to suffer, Miji. But don't worry, you can treat me as your mom too." "Thank you, Auntie." "Drop that Auntie. From now on, practice to call us mom and dad. And to your two brothers as oppa. They would be happy if they heard that. They wanted to be called oppa by their supposed to be baby sister." Supposed baby sister? "I was five months pregnant to a baby girl last year. But she died in my womb. I didn't get a chance to carry her in my arms. I got depressed after that. But when Sengwa told me that he will adopt his niece, i was so happy and excited. I waited for months and now, you're here..." "He granted my long time wish, to have a daughter. And now, i can say that our family is finally completed."
