THE DARK CHAOS OF HUMANITY.
CHAPTER ONE
Part I - The War in Heaven.
Four centuries before the present age, a war unlike any other erupted in the heavenly realm. It was not a conflict between nations, nor a struggle for earthly power. It was the Great Rebellion.
The heavens, once filled with everlasting peace, became a battlefield where divine light clashed against consuming darkness. Celestial swords rang through eternity as loyal angels met the rebellious host in fierce combat, every strike releasing waves of radiant power that shook the foundations of Heaven itself.
Angels fell alongside the rebels they fought, their divine essence scattering like countless stars across the once-sacred plains. Magnificent halls that had stood since the dawn of creation crumbled beneath the violence of war. Towers of crystal collapsed, rivers of light were stained with ash, and the songs of worship that once echoed through Heaven were replaced by the cries of battle.
For the first time since creation, Heaven knew chaos.
Above the battlefield stood the Eternal Throne. Upon it sat the Almighty, His presence beyond mortal comprehension. He neither raised His voice nor moved from His seat - His gaze alone carried authority enough to still armies, and yet the battle raged on before Him, as if even His will would not end it before its time.
Leading the armies of Heaven was the greatest warrior ever created: the Archangel Michael.
His armor bore the weight of something forged not for beauty but for what it was built to protect. Six wings unfolded behind him, and where they moved, the air seemed to hold its breath. In his hand rested a sacred sword, older than time, its blade burning with heavenly fire.
Standing opposite him was the leader of the rebellion.
Lucifer. Once the most glorious of all angels - the Morning Star - now consumed by pride. His radiant beauty remained, but hatred burned behind his brilliant eyes. His once-pure wings carried the scars of countless battles, and still he stood, refusing to bow before the judgment of Heaven.
A faint smile crossed his face.
"So..." Lucifer said, raising his sword. "Even now, you still believe this war can end in peace?"
Michael answered with silence. He simply lifted his blade.
Their weapons collided, and the shockwave tore across the battlefield - mountains of crystal shattering, clouds splitting apart, nearby angels and rebels thrown in every direction by the force of it.
Again they struck. And again. Their movements blurred past what any eye could follow, flashes of gold and crimson tearing across the sky, every collision loosing bursts of divine energy powerful enough to reshape Heaven itself. Neither warrior gave ground.
At last, Lucifer forced Michael backward.
"You always were His perfect soldier," Lucifer said, his contempt quiet. "Tell me, Michael - have you never questioned Him? Never wondered why only one will is permitted in Heaven?"
Michael lowered his sword slightly. His voice, when it came, was calm.
"I do not serve because I am unable to question. I serve because I know the One who is worthy."
Lucifer's expression darkened. "Worthy?" His laughter echoed across the battlefield. "Worthy of demanding absolute obedience? Worthy of denying freedom to His own creation?"
Michael's eyes never left him. "Freedom without truth becomes destruction." He stepped forward. "And pride has already blinded you."
For the first time, anger twisted Lucifer's face. With a furious cry, he launched himself forward, and the battle resumed with unimaginable ferocity. Their swords flashed like lightning. Their wings beat with the force of hurricanes. The heavens trembled beneath every strike.
Then Michael saw an opening.
He turned beneath Lucifer's attack and swung his blade upward. The sword sliced cleanly through one of Lucifer's wings.
Time itself seemed to freeze.
The severed wing drifted through the air, its feathers dissolving into fragments of light before fading into nothing.
Lucifer staggered backward, his breathing heavy. For the first time since the rebellion began, the Morning Star had been wounded.
Silence spread across the battlefield. Angels ceased fighting. Even the rebels stood frozen. Every eye turned toward the Eternal Throne.
Dark clouds gathered above Heaven. Lightning split the sky. Thunder rolled through creation itself.
Then the voice of the Almighty resounded across Heaven - a voice carrying justice, authority, and power beyond measure.
"Lucifer. You have chosen rebellion over righteousness, pride over humility, and darkness over My light.
Therefore, you and those who followed you shall be cast out of Heaven.
Never again shall you walk among My hosts. Never again shall you stand before My throne.
The glory entrusted to you shall be taken away. Your place shall be remembered no more."
The words echoed across eternity. No one spoke.
The rebel angels lowered their heads. Many had believed victory was still possible. Now they understood the truth - they had lost everything. No return awaited them. No second chance remained. Only judgment.
Lucifer slowly raised his head. For a brief moment, regret flickered across his face. Then it vanished, his expression then changed into something darker.
Hatred, pure, unrelenting, hatred....
