The party is heaving by the time I get there, and the atmosphere is crazy. After-parties were notorious for being off the charts with the volume of people that went, but after a win of this scale, I saw people I had never seen before.
I don't want to be here; I want to be with Kat. But I can't be selfish.
Besides, I'm happy for Connor. He needs to enjoy this happiness while it lasts because tomorrow his world will come crashing down.
