A second chance

Meg had slept after hours of crying and she was tired and was now far into dreamland that she wouldn't hear anyone entering where she was. Loyrane was still looking for ways to explain to Meg what she saw inside his bot but he didn't know how to do it when she saw it with her own eyes. It maybe would have been a lot better if he had told her himself or if someone found out and she told her then maybe he would have tried to explain and she would listen but now, it was late.

Either way, he entered slowly hoping that Meg was calm after everything because they couldn't have this conversation if she was angry and he wanted, scratch that, he needed her and he planned on doing everything he can to get her back. Meg got a nightmare that day when she slept and she woke up screaming and scratching herself violently that you would think an animal had scratched her. She couldn't help but coil herself in a corner suddenly afraid that they would come and haunt her in real life.

She was shivering, crying and sweating yet she couldn't do anything about it and that's when Loyrane entered and she screamed because she thought that maybe the monster in her nightmares had come to finish her off just like in her nightmares so she closed her eyes as soon as she heard the door opening nit really ready to see who had entered and soon enough, she was having a panic attack and the alien who had just come in didn't know what to do. He had never been in a situation like this and he had never seen anything of the sorts because this never happened at their planet but seeing Meg go through it made him sick with worry.

"Meg! Meg!" Shouted Loyrane totally confused about what was happening to Meg. He didn't know what to do and his bot which could provide him with procedures on how to help her was far from here unless he used a short cut but he didn't know if Meg could travel like this and he couldn't teleport.

Loyrane for the first time, was hopeless but he wanted to try like really do something for Meg. He didn't want and never would he wish to see her in such a situation because it was alarming since he didn't know if this happened normally in the human world. Yes, his bot had helped him adapt to this planet quickly but he didn't know everything like sickness, health, he only knew the basics and the things that would help him with his mission on earth and he knew those would help him save the planet but the idea of saving a human one day had never occurred to him and now he could only blame himself for being ignorant.

So with his knowledge, he calmed down or at least tried to and told Meg to breathe, open her eyes, and look at him and the corners of his lips rose up when she opened her teary eyes and looked at him her eyes filled with fear and she looked lost. Meg heard a calm voice beckoning her to open her eyes and she too, felt like opening them for the sake of that person and she did finding Loyrane's gold red eyes staring back at her and she felt defenseless like looking into his eyes proved that she has nothing to worry about and that the nightmares would not haunt her.

Loyrane sighed in relief when Meg looked at him and he before he could stop himself, he smiled and Meg did too. Meg knew that what she had seen had been kept from her for a reason but she couldn't help but feel betrayed so she silently asked Loyrane to not talk about it for some time until she is fine because she didn't want her nightmares to worsen and she didn't want the other side of her to give her a reason to hate Loyrane. She was going to enjoy her life at the moment and maybe all the hate could come later although she knew that she couldn't bring herself to hate Loyrane.

Loyrane looked at Meg, who had now calmed down and was looking down in thoughts so he decided to go out for a bit to get for her something to eat because he was sure she was hungry and he knew this because he had spent many nights watching her and he knew she ate whenever she woke up from a nightmare. He didn't want to bring up what had made Me leave the bot because he could see that Meg was not in a condition to listen to all this so he refrained himself from doing so though he hoped that Meg would tell him about his nightmares and maybe that could help her for a bit.

He didn't know where her family had gone considering that he found her alone but he would be sure to ask her there whereabouts after getting food for her. Meg remained in the same place where Loyrane found her until Loyrane came back with some vegetables and warm milk and she immediately got up with a smile not caring how he knew that she would want to eat that. She ate quite unlady like and if she wasn't so hungry, she would feel embarrassed by how she was eating.

Loyrane watched in awe as Meg ate the food he had brought from some farm guy that he saw at the last gathering when they were looking for solutions on how to kill the inhumans. The guy had not questioned him a lot but just complied and Loyrane concluded that he was a kind loving man.

Meg ate and washed the dishes after she was done and packed her bag quietly as Loyrane was downstairs doing something or nothing and she figured it would be safe if she stayed at Loyrane's bot for a while until her family came back. When she was done, she strolled down and frowned when she didn't find the alien where she left him.

She ran outside in panic but relaxed when she found him in the back yard and she walked up to him. He was star gazing or maybe sky gazing since it was evening and Meg frowned at how the time had moved quickly. It had been a day since she had come or maybe ran away from him and his bot.Loyrane looked at Meg when she sat next to him and he waited for her to say something not really wanting to push his luck.

He knew that Meg didn't want to speak about what she saw but that didn't mean he had to pretend that everything was okay and even if he wanted to start a conversation, he didn't know how to begin. Meg saw Loyrane fidgeting and she chuckled but didn't comment and instead asked him if he was ready to head back because she was ready to go if she was the one he was waiting for.

Loyrane looked at Meg to see if she was really ready to go and when he saw that she was confident, he motioned for her to stand up and be on their way before the sun sets. They moved slowly while Meg was kicking some rocks as they were moving and she almost tripped when Loyrane spoke to her unexpectedly because she didn't expect him to and she was also deep in thought.

Loyrane asked Meg if she was okay for the night since he planned on migrating now that the inhumans had found his hideout and it wouldn't be long before they attacked but Meg only nodded her head after recovering from the shock of him speaking suddenly after a long time without anyone speaking apart from the sound of the crickets and wolves howling.

Meg knew that she wouldn't sleep anytime soon since she was from sleeping minutes ago and was more than ready to see how it feels to be in the air flying. She couldn't tell if she was excited or anxious that she was going to be in air yet she had a fear of heights. All in all she wasn't going to miss this chance and besides if she stayed she wouldn't know where Loyrane migrated to and she wasn't sure he would risk his life just to come and pick her up form where she was and what if the inhumans found her before him that is if he came.

So she didn't tell Loyrane that she and a fear for heights and instead pretended that nothing was wrong and continued moving until they arrived at his bot though you could barely see it although the barrier was off. They entered and they headed for the camera room and seats immediately produced themselves and they both sat the seat belts buckling themselves and the bot briefed them about what was going to happen and where they were going and what would happen when they were about to land and Meg began chanting them in her head in case she forgot and she could tell that Loyrane knew what to do and she couldn't disturb him when he was the one driving.

And as the bot began rising, Meg began chanting the words like she was practicing a song. So on and on the went as the bot began moving at an incredibly fast speed that Meg began having second thoughts about this flight because she didn't know if this speed was legal. But to comfort herself, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the words the bot told her.

"When we rise, the seats should extend a little bit to hold more of the weight and if they don't just in case, a button is supposed to be pressed on the chair the person is sitting in. During the flight, if not used to it, one may feel nauseous and sick but nothing dangerous will happen and neither will the person's health be affected. When they land, the bot was going to go in security mode and so it will become invisible and a barrier would be put to safe guard the bot. They were headed for the southern part of Kloan and so the silence was required because they didn't know what was there but they knew that it had to and should be a quiet place and if one makes noise, something dangerous would be awakened and so this must be followed. The bot would make it self sound proof once they land to make themselves settle in without many things changing.

And on and on the bot said although Meg knew that the southern part was dangerous and this wasn't new to her and she was Okay so far and didn't feel nauseous or sick as they went and her fear was no where or maybe it had his itself or something either way, she was happy. The bot soon informed them that they were about to land and they should calm down and keep quiet since the sound proof would only work when they landed and so down they went until the bot stopped and informed them that they had landed and were free to go on and do anything they wanted.

Meg smiled and jumped up from her seat ready to brag to Loyrane about how she had not felt nauseous or sick but she fainted right after she stood up. Oops spoke so soon" she murmured before passing out making Loyrane roll his eyes. This had happened before and he fled like a fly after sensing danger because he thought she had died but now that he was in his not, he knew he had nothing to worry about and so he just carried her and took her to the room she always slept in.
