The rain didn't come to an end until hours later and by this point Meg was shivering and Loyrane was just confused because he had never seen rain because it either didn't rain on their planet or he just has never seen it. They had found a big tree where they could stay until the rain stopped but it didn't conceal a lot of rain so they ended up getting drenched.
Later on, Loyrane tried contacting his bot with something on his mask and it told him that they were far and it couldn't help them in any way but there is a cave nearby where they could spend some time before heading back and Loyrane was grateful at this moment, for having a device that made him able to connect with his bot though he had forgotten that he had it, earlier. Meanwhile, Meg was grumbling wondering why Loyrane had not contacted his bot earlier cause' if he did, she wouldn't end up getting drenched.
Meg was shivering and sneezing loudly after every 2 or 3 minutes. Loyrane looked at Meg and sighed noticing that there is no way she would be able to move when she was sneezing almost every minute so he carried her and she surprisingly wasn't heavy although Loyrane didn't expect her to. Though, she looked a bit older than her age, which was sixteen, she was beautiful and wise which made her more fascinating to Loyrane.
If he began thinking about his age, he was sure that he would come out blank since they didn't count their years. It wasn't long before they found the cave with the bot directing Loyrane so it wasn't hard to find it though their path wasn't exactly friendly since he had to push away some branches and plants though some ended up poking Meg. He wasn't worried about himself because his clothes were waterproof and they had hard material so he wouldn't get bruised but Meg's clothes were just normal so she would have bruises here and there.
Loyrane gently set Meg down laying her head down on a rock and told her to rest as he went to search for something that would keep her warm. Meg didn't argue or complain because she was more than tired and she felt like she was starting to have a fever so she passed out, which she seemed to be doing lately, minutes after she was laid down.
Loyrane gathered some weak trees that had fallen down from the rain and some weak branches and he used them to cover the mouth of the cave to protect Meg from the wild animals and insects of this place before going away to search for some food and hopefully, some dry wood to light a fire. He traveled deep in the forest in search for wood and maybe fruits though the wild rabbit he had hunted was more than enough for them.
It wasn't long before he came across some berries and fruits that looked like mangoes though they were bluish in colour. He hadn't noticed it before but everything this part of kloan seemed different and didn't look like the normal stuff that was in the other parts. This made Loyrane view things differently not like before and then everything started making sense.
He didn't want to dwell on that fact for a long time when he was far deep in the forest and Meg was all alone so he figured he'd discuss it with Meg later when she was done resting. Loyrane picked some dry wood on his way and some wet twigs, before heading back to the cave where he left Meg and was grateful that nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
He arranged some wood few meters away from Meg and checked Meg's pockets for something he could use to light the fire and he was grateful when he found a lighter. He immediately lit the fire, began roasting the rabbit he had skinned with his pocket knife, and brought Meg close to the fire to get some warmth since he was sure she was cold. He removed some of her clothes and left a few to keep her decent and save her from the embarrassment from when she wakes up before setting them near the fire to dry.
After the rabbit was ready, he cut it and placed pieces of the meat on some leaves he had got from the trees and woke up Meg to eat. It was becoming dark very fast yet it was early so Loyrane told Meg that they would be spending the night in the forest before heading back to the bot early in the morning.
Meg didn't argue but just listened to Loyrane as he went on about how this part seemed different and she also felt like touring it tomorrow as part of her plan before heading back to the bot and she made sure to ask Loyrane if that was possible before sleeping to which he replied with an "if you are sure". Loyrane didn't know when he slept, but he woke up hearing someone shift the trees and branches from the cave before passing out again.
Meg woke up early that morning before heading out to grab some more food to take to the bot because she knew that Loyrane wouldn't be waking up soon. She spotted the different things about the fruits and trees in this part and she noticed that even the insects seemed slightly bigger than the normal ones and the fruits were a different color than the ones she knew like the mangoes were both blue and green unlike the red and green ones they had in their home place.
And the trees could easily break just from simple rain yet back home, the trees only fell if there was a storm. She also noticed that the water was a deep shade of blue unlike their colorless water back home so the whole view was fascinating to her and she couldn't be more grateful that it rained otherwise they wouldn't have noticed all that.
She strolled back after gathering enough food ready to tell Loyrane about her findings but stopped celebrating when she noticed a lion in front of her
