Heart to heart confession

"Do you like me" Loyrane asked Meg who dropped her head in embarrassment because she couldn't believe that he asked her such a question. Sure she was ready to tell him but not in this way and she didn't know how he had known

"Why would I? Who gave you the idea" She whispered quietly her cheeks burning a fierce red making Loyrane sigh and sit down next to her. He had not even noticed until her mother told him and like everyone else, he didn't accept so they told him to come along with Lily and see how she reacts.

He had noticed the whole time that she was lagging behind but he wanted to prove everyone's words and heavens were they right. She stopped and then turned around and ran back from where they came from making Lily laugh at her. All of them had noticed that she was in love but she was in denial since its the first time she has actually had a crush on anyone.

Lily kept teasing Loyrane the whole time saying that his mask made him blind and he couldn't see that Meg was jealous the whole time and that "he should take it off soon" and this made him remember why he's not supposed to. He couldn't breathe in Oxygen and since he was on earth, he had to keep his mask on to supply him with air from their planet and him removing it meant that he was to suffocate or he could drain the oxygen from his bot and Meg would have to put on an oxygen mask all the time which he didn't want to do.

Either way Lily went on and told him that Meg would not confess until he confronts her and she will be in pain and once she goes deep in denial it would be worse. So that evening when they were making it back home, he decided to ask her about it before doing anything else and that's what he did when he entered his bot. Yes he was determined to know the answer today no matter what and then they could sort out everything later because he also knew that all aliens had soul mates or at least a life time partner destined for him and if he accepted Meg's feelings, he would have to give up a lot because he can't live here on earth for a long time and he can't take Meg to their planet since he didn't know if it was allowed.

Meg looked at the floor of the bot which suddenly looked interesting at the moment when Loyrane sat besides her and she didn't know what to say because truth be told she feared rejection. Loyrane sat quietly besides her and when he saw that she won't speak, he decided to tell her some facts about where he comes from to show her that he can trust her because he really wanted her to trust him

"You know, there are types of aliens back where I come from. The royals, the breeders, the servants, the army, the weak breeders normally called the out casts and the inhumans. Each type has its own role and rarely do they disobey them. But one time, one of the royals didn't want to give up his power to his son and the society accepted it for some years since he was a good leader and they trusted him so they said why not. But after sometime, royals started dying unexpectedly and this raised suspicions among the aliens and so they decided to trap the murderer thinking it was one of the members of the army but that night, they saw the royal who they trusted a lot and were astonished and they knew that if they didn't stop him, his hunger for power would grow. And so they trapped him to another abandoned planet and so were all his family because if the family shared the blood, they would soon become power hungry so in turn, my grand parents were given the place since he was so powerful and trust worthy and they passed on the legacy to my parents who were supposed to pass it on to me but I was still young so they offered to rule a bit longer until I grew but that's when things turned. My parents were traveling to earth that time and I offered to go with them and I was stubborn back then and they accepted because they knew I would follow them either way. We were transporting the weak breeders to earth because then they could give birth because humans were weak and aliens were strong so instead of killing them, they transported them to earth. So it was that time of the year when they transported them to earth and everyone was ready and we set off. But on arriving at earth, one air ship was missing but my parents thought that maybe they had miscounted so they let the matter drop. Years passed by and I was crowned as the next royal and I was the youngest on the team since royals consisted of 5 families. So things ran smoothly for 3 months which is like many years here and in the fourth month, one of the royals was celebrating the birth of his heir since he had only heiresses. And that's when the inhumans attacked and blood was shed and it was a lot and since the aliens were not prepared, they lost many that night and some of the planets were captured since they all had gathered on the planet of royals. My parents and other royals began to make research and that's when they found out that they were born by the weak breeders since there planet fell on the abandoned planet for the power hungry. So my parents offered to come to earth since they were familiar with the planet and so they set off but didn't make it far since the inhumans attacked that day again and so they came back to fight for their planets and so I was sent instead of them but somehow the inhumans got news and they followed me here. So when I landed on earth, I lost my only connection to my planet and so I couldn't speak to my parents and know if they are alive or not" Loyrane explained and whispered out the last part and Meg held out her hands to hug him as some sign of comfort.

Meg felt like it had been heard to speak about it but he did nevertherless and she was grateful. She felt like it would be better if she told him about her feelings and if he rejects her then that would be fine but maybe she should give it a try.

"I really don't know when I started liking your company or when I really loved being with you but all I know is that when you came to our place and started giving Lily more attention more than me, I became annoyed and felt like since you had met my sister, you had noticed that she was more fun than me and I couldn't help but feel jealous because I was used to you giving me your attention and I liked it somehow so when you directed it to Lily I felt really bad like I felt like stabbing her eyes whenever she looked at you under her long lashes when she thought no one was noticing and I hated it. And then you further more proved my point when you came at home unnoticed and you didn't even tell me yet you had declined my offer that same day and I felt like you were abandoning me. That was the night my mom asked me if I liked you and I said no since I've never liked anyone before so I don't know what it felt like and I really didn't want to find out. So that was when she told me that I shouldn't be afraid of liking someone and suddenly I became over whelmed and ran and bam I knocked you and then that's when you brought me to the bot. So the next day, I decided to tell you about it after thoroughly thinking it through but I discarded the idea when I saw you bringing Lily to the barrier and I thought you were bringing her to the not and I felt hurt because it was the only space no one knew and we could spend time together alone away from the world and when you brought Lily I thought all that will be long forgotten so I came to distract you. And you know the rest. I noticed that you were moving and conversing more with her leaving me out so I decided to give you more time alone because I felt like I was intruding" Meg murmured feeling embarrassed about it but Loyrane patted her head and told her not to worry because he felt the same way though he didn't know what it felt like but he could tell that he liked her company and her in general.

"It feels like we are having a heart to heart confession" Meg said chuckling and Loyrane joined her and she felt like she was free now that she had told Loyrane her feelings though she still wanted to know how he looked like behind the mask and she wanted to see it today. Yes blame her impatience but she really wanted to know how he looked like and she had to know now that they had feelings for each other.

"I want to see your face" Meg demanded with a hint of playfulness in her voice but Loyrane didn't detect it or maybe if he did, he chose to ignore it.

"Then you'll have to put on a mask" Loyrane said

"Why would I?" Meg asked confused

"Because I can't breathe Oxygen and I programmed this bot to supply oxygen for you since I knew you would be coming by" He explained

"Okay I have no problem but if that's the case I'll have to first get an oxygen mask" Meg said delighted and she immediately got up to go home and prepare but stopped when Loyrane held her hand.

"Its Okay we have all the time in the world" He said and pulled her down to sit where she was before.

"I know but I'm so excited I can't help it" Meg insisted making Loyrane chuckle at her

"Okay we shall do this tonight but for now let me have some alone time with my human" Loyrane mumbled and if Meg wasn't next to him she wouldn't have heard and this made her heart flutter. She spent the next hours with Loyrane and telling him about her childhood memories and Loyrane kept saying I know and sometimes a wow because he had heard about some of Meg's childhood memories from Lily and some new from Meg herself and he smiled at some of her memories and he teased her about some few embarrassing memories like when she peed in her pants the first time she saw a lion on the first day of exploring and even the monkeys laughed at her.

She just couldn't understand how she could pee in her pants when the lions were in the cages. They were still laughing when suddenly the alarms started blaring through the whole bot and Loyrane knew that it was trouble. He had long forgotten about the inhumans but looks like they found him.

In panic, Meg pressed a button unexpectedly and the barrier opened and the inhumans started entering, she screamed like she has never before although Loyrane kept telling her that she was Okay and it was safe although he wasn't sure about his words too.
