“What?” I repeated, feeling betrayed. Immediately, I jumped out of bed, straightened the duvet out of habit and paced around the room. I decided I was going to leave, I didn’t want to see him. I wasn’t interested in seeing his smug face. Why was I in his room anyway? It had to be some kind of mistake. I adjusted the length of my gown, gave the room one last look and headed for the door.
