After Alice left, I wolfed down the rest of the pancakes. Somehow, the conversation had left me hungrier than ever. With Alice gone, I finally had time to settle down and think. I hurriedly stepped out of my clothes and rushed into the bathroom to take a long bath. All I wanted was to slip into the comforting embrace of warm water and let all my troubles melt away.
