“What are you doing?” I yelled in pain, holding on to his hand as he pulled my hair roughly. “Get off me, you’re hurting me.” He let go instantly. I spun around, watching as his eyes turned remorseful. Like he had just now realized the extent of his actions. “Alexandra,” his raspy voice came out in a low, delicate tone. “I didn’t mean to—” “Just leave, please.” I sniffed out. I did not want him to see the effect he had on me, the pain he had caused. “Why must you always be this way?” He stepped forward, I stepped back.
