FORTY-FOUR Jackson was grim as Michaelson directed the airship toward the mine compound. Below, hundreds of dead freaks littered fields that had once been filled with crops. It would be a lean season for Brimfield, but he was sure that under Neil Barrowman’s leadership, they would survive.
