CHAPTER 21: Ultimatum (Part 1)
He sprinted through the perfect roads of the Core, trying to find cover. The rain was starting to subside, yet the cold tore through him. He felt like he could pass out at any moment… But he had to keep going. He had to… A sound of large explosion alerted him to his left. All he could see was a cloud of black smoke rising high in the air. He heard loud footsteps coming towards him. In his state, he couldn’t possibly fight a large troop of soldiers. He frantically looked around for an escape; spotting a ruined house in some distance in front of him, he quickly stumbled through an alley and walked towards it. He hid behind the wall of a house for a moment as the royal guards passed behind him. Every time he stopped, thoughts of Belle and Jack came rushing back into his mind. He remembered
