THE STRENGTH WITHIN PROF.RAMAMURTI JI LEGACY
In the narrow lanes of Varanasi , amidst the scent of sandalwood and echoes of temple bells , lived a man who defined time -Prof.Ramamurti naidu. To most he was a retired philosophy teacher , known for his clam presence and kind eyes .But to those who knew him closely , he was a living legend -a master of ancient Indian dands ,an exercise that sculpted his body and sharpened his mind like a warrior - saint.
Every morning at 4:30 am , before the city stirred ,Ramamurthy would step into his open courtyard.Wearing a simple dhoti and a stell kada on his wrist, he began his practice ,with every dand (push up) his body moved with rhythm ,his spine curved like a bow and sweat rolled like sacred offerings to the Earth.
To him, dands were not just exercise ,they were a sadhana , a spiritual discipline .
" Modern gyms build muscle", he once said to his young neighbour Aarav "but dands build character , strength and control .They align your mind breath and body .They connect you to your breath and body .They connect you to your roots.
Aarav, a teenager addicted to screens and self doubt laughed at first .But one day
after watching Ramamurthi effortlessly performing 1000 dands without pausing , something changed .He began training under the old professor -not just learning how to move , but how to live.
Under Ramamurthi Ji's guidance , Aarav discovered the benefits of Indian dands:-
• Explosive strength without weights can be made by practicing dands
• Spinal flexibility and core stability
• Enchanced stamina , breath control and mental focus .
• Above all ,a sense of discipline and inner peace.
Months passed,Aarav transformed not by physically only but by mentally too .His posture straightened his energy returned and he walked with a quiet confidence
