Chapter2

Rob's POV I arrived late for the meeting with Jannet and, in fact, I knew she would have my head on a plate tonight. I didn't plan it to turn out this way, but it is what it is. "You are always late, Rob. You know how much I hate coming late" she said, and I wondered if I have ever made it late to all the gatherings we have ever gone to. "I'm sorry, Jannet, I almost knocked a lady down, and I had to make sure she was okay before I left," I said, hoping she would understand. "That is not my problem. Why didn't you just give her money and leave?" she said, not minding we were in a public place. " I almost killed someone, and you wanted me to just give her money and leave? You are impossible, Jannet." I said, as I couldn't hide the anger I felt anymore. "She didn't die anyway," she muttered and sipped from her wine glass. I felt a mix of annoyance and shame as I wondered why Jannet could not think of the lives of other people if not herself. I was angry, and I couldn't stay any longer. " You see, I am leaving. I can't sit here and watch you speak ill about people you're far off better than," I said, but she hissed, stood up, and picked up her bag. "You dare not leave before me," she said, picking up her glass that contained some wine and emptying its contents on my hair. I was shocked, clueless, and angry as she poured the wine on me and left, drawing the attention of people sitting around me. Shit! What did I get myself into? I stood up gently, wiped off some of my clothes with the napkin on the table, and looked around again. They're all staring at me. s**t! With my head bowed down, I walked out of the hang-out spot and to my car. Having a decent conversation with Jannet is the most impossible thing to do because she nags over the slightest things and complains over the smallest things. Her love is toxic and having to deal with all of her excesses is becoming tiring. I got to my car and tried opening it, but my hands kept shaking. I have had enough of her shenanigans and I cannot not take any more of it. I managed to open the door, got inside the car, and rested my head on the steering wheel and I played 'Weightless by Marconi Union', which managed to calm me down a bit. ************** I got home and found Jannet's car parked in the lot and I couldn't have been more surprised that she came to the house immediately after emptying a glass of wine on me. "Hello, sir, do you need some Jacuzzi treatment? I can set it up for you", one of the domestic staff asked as I walked in and after scanning the thought, I thought it was a beautiful way to get past all of these problems. "Yes, please. Set up the Jacuzzi, I could use some relaxation" I said, heading to my mom's room to see what Jannet was up to. As I got closer to Mom's room, the laughter emanating from her room meant one thing; If I brought up the issue between Jannet and me, she wouldn't listen to me, but I was ready to hear the end of it. I turned the doorknob and pushed it slightly inside as it revealed some parts of the room. I took a glance but they weren't in sight, so I stepped in. " Hey, Mum," I greeted them when I finally sighted both of them sitting on the sofa. " Hey, son. You're back already?" she asked, and I nodded before turning to shoot Jannet a death glare. " Yes, mum. I'm back." "What are you doing here," I turned to Jannet, my voice a mix of anger and frustration. "Mum, I told you, he would still be mad at me," Jannet said, sounding like the victim. "Robinson, I didn't raise you to show up late when you and your woman were supposed to go out for a date." Mum had taken in all Jannet said and didn't care what I had to say or not. Knowing fully well that I could not win this battle, I turned to walk out of the room when Mum suddenly called out to me. " Yes, mum." I turned, trying so hard not to look angry. " What happened to your shirt? It is stained," she asked, just noticing the stain from the wine Jannet had poured on me. I looked from Jannet to mum and I wondered how a mother would support her son's partner without hearing his side of the story. I took a deep breath and started walking away. " Jannet is in a better position to answer that question," I said, walking out of the room to my room. When I got to my room, I saw the staff leaving the room and I hated him. "Done?" I asked, and he nodded. "Everything is in order, sir," he said with a smile. "Thank you so much," I replied, walking away from him while approaching my door. I got to my room and the peace I felt was second to none, something about this room that calms me down every damn time, or maybe it's just me. I quickly took off my shirt and shorts and walked to the jacuzzi unclad. I needed to relax, so I slipped into the jacuzzi and enjoyed the combination of the warm water and the massaging jets. I could feel my muscles loosening and my worries melting away, and I was thankful for being able to live this life and afford the luxury that comes with it. I closed my eyes in a bid to enjoy the moment and let the jacuzzi do its thing while I served some wine for myself and turned on the music to add more calmness to the cubicle while I relaxed. In a few moments, the door swung open, and I refused to open my eyes because whenever Jannet and I fought over something, Mum would pick sides with her and end up asking why I kept making Jannet complain about me every day. “Hey, babe,” it was Jannet’s voice and I wondered why I had missed that she usually finds a way to come begging whenever she's done something wrong. I opened my eyes, and she was already at the cubicle entrance. I shut my eyes, hoping to avoid her but, as usual, her manipulative self would prompt her to do whatever she had in mind. “I'm sorry, babe,” she said, running her over my chest and leaving brief kisses randomly on my body. I stood there, not wanting to look at her face as I enjoyed the warm water, and in a split second, she was unclear and inside the Jacuzzi with me. “What do you think you're doing, Jannet?” I asked, but she responded with a kiss on my lips. “I've come to apologize” she responded, stroking my manhood with a gigantic smile on her face. “You embarrassed me, Jannet.” I managed to say as her hold on me was becoming more effective. “ I'm so sorry, you know how it gets whenever I'm angry and upset. Please, babe, forgive me,” she said, and I didn't have any other choice. My manhood was already hard, and I couldn't let this slip away. Slowly, with both our eyes peering into each other, we closed the distance between us, and our lips locked in a breathless kiss that left us panting and almost gasping for air. “I'm sorry, Rob,” she said, even though, deep down, I knew she wasn't sorry. “It's nothing, Jannet, I've forgiven you,” I said and faked a smile. “Oh, really?”. She asked, her voice filled with excitement. “Yeah, sure,” I replied, slowly pinning her to the jacuzzi while my manhood found its way into her honeypot. I started slowly, our bodies moving in rhythm, the music adding a romantic feeling, while the dimly lit lights added color to lovemaking. “Ahh! Uhmm! Don't stop, please.” her moans were all over the place, then a loud and disturbing knock was on my door and Jannet’s gaze met mine. “Who could that be?” she asked, and I looked at her with a confused expression on my face.
