continue story ...... You all might be wondering why Conan didn’t say anything to my sister, so let me explain. My dad, David Bennett, and Conan's dad, James Archer, have been childhood friends and have always been together, so all of us kids have known each other since childhood. James Uncle has a very big company, The Archer Industry, which is among the top 10 companies. We also have a well-known company, Bennett Enterprise. Now, let's get back to the story. Everyone had finished eating when Michael said, "Brother Conan, can I see your room?" Hearing this, it seemed as if Conan was waiting to hear just this. He quickly stood up and said, "Yes, let's go, Michael." Conan wanted to get away from Emily by any means, which is why he said this. Laura said, "Michael, Conan is not your brother, he’s going to be your brother-in-law." Hearing this, no one else seemed to care, but Conan clenched his fists. Margaret was about to say something when David held her hand and stopped her. After Conan and Michael left, Margaret said, "David, why did you stop me?" Hearing this, David became sad and said, "Because Michael still doesn’t know why Jenny doesn’t come here." Hearing the mention of Jenny, Margaret's eyes welled up slightly. Seeing this, Laura and Emily didn’t like it at all that Margaret cared so much about Jenny. James said, "Margaret, I also want Jenny to come to our house all the time, but I can't do anything about it." Hearing this, Emily thought to herself, "You’re not even here, yet everyone is talking about you. I hate you, Jenny." Just then, Margaret’s voice broke her train of thought. Margaret said, “Yes, Jenny would be with me if Owen were here.” Hearing Owen’s name, David and James exchanged a slight smile. Seeing this, Emily asked, “Why are you two smiling at the mention of Owen?” Margaret replied, “Because they remembered the scene Owen created for Jenny.” Shocked, Emily said, “Why don’t I know about this?” David explained, “Because you were out with your mom.” Emily asked, “What did Owen do?” James said, “He did something that could have gotten him beaten up.” David added, “Yes, but he did it because he loved Jenny so much.” Emily didn’t like hearing this, but she remained silent. James continued, “That day, we realized how crazy he was about Jenny.” Emily pleaded, “Dad, Uncle, you both have to tell me what happened.” David began, “Owen was 13 at the time, and Jenny and you were around 10. Owen and Conan are twins, so when Jenny came to see Owen, she ran into Conan. Conan wanted to tease Owen, so when he saw Jenny, he hugged her.” Emily asked, “Then what happened, Dad?” James responded, “Then Conan saw stars. When Owen saw Conan hugging Jenny, he thought Jenny was hugging Conan. He ran over to Jenny, pulled her away from Conan, and yelled, ‘How dare you hug anyone other than me?’” Margaret said, "And my dear Jenny was just staring at Owen. Owen's eyes had turned red with anger." Hearing this, Emily was secretly happy but didn't show it on her face and just kept listening. David continued, "Owen was yelling so loudly that we all came out because we were all in James's study room." James added, "Yes, and when we came out, we saw this scene." Margaret said, "Yes, and when I was about to stop Owen, James and David stopped me." Emily asked, "Why?" David replied, "Because we both wanted to see what Owen would do next." James laughed and said, "But Owen shamelessly started kissing Jenny right in front of Conan." Hearing this, Emily was completely shocked, her eyes wide as she listened to everything. Laura was listening to all this with a scowl, angry that everyone was still talking about Jenny. Emily said, "Then you must have been angry with Jenny and Owen, right?" James replied, "Why would we do that?" David added, "And if we had gotten angry, Owen might have scolded us instead." James said, "Yes, instead of letting go of Jenny, he grabbed Conan by the throat and said, 'If I ever see you near my wife again, I'll kill you.'" We were all shocked to hear this, and Owen wouldn’t let go of Conan. We all tried to calm him down, but he wasn’t listening. Just then, we heard Jenny crying. Emily asked, "Did Owen really get that angry?" Margaret replied, "No, he was just extremely protective of Jenny and his younger brother Conan. But he couldn’t tolerate Conan being with Jenny, which is why he was so angry." James said, "And when Owen heard Jenny crying, he let go of Conan and went to Jenny, while we all attended to Conan. Seeing Owen, Jenny cried, 'I didn't hug Conan, Owen.' Hearing this, Owen said, 'Then what did I see?' Before Jenny could say anything, Conan spoke up, 'It was me, brother. I just wanted to make you jealous and annoy you.' Hearing this, Owen glared at Conan and then looked at Jenny." Margaret started laughing. Emily asked, "What happened, Auntie?" Margaret, still laughing, said, "Owen threatened Jenny that day, saying, 'From now on, you'll call me hubby, not Owen.' Jenny, crying, came to me and said, 'Auntie, I won't talk to hubby anymore. Please tell him to go away.'" James added, "No matter how angry Jenny got, she always listened to Owen." David, laughing, said, "Yes, and from that day on, Jenny called Owen 'hubby.'" Emily said, "Oh, that's why she never mentioned his name when talking about him."Margaret, becoming sad again, said, "Jenny and Owen used to be so happy, and seeing them made us happy too." James added sadly, "Yes, but now Jenny has stopped coming to our house." Conan had overheard all this as he had come outside to make a call, but when he heard Jenny's name, he stayed and listened from above. Conan said, "Yes, she doesn't talk to me either."
