Jenny didn’t say anything, just kept looking at Conan and thinking about something. Suddenly, when she heard Monna's voice, Jenny's attention shifted from Conan to Monna. Monna said, "Jenny, did you get your book or not?" Before Jenny could answer, the bell signaling the end of class rang.
Taking a deep breath, Jenny said, "No, I didn’t get it, but it’s good that this grump didn’t find out." Jenny was still speaking when she heard Conan's voice in her ears. Conan said, "Miss Bennett, come to my cabin." Hearing this, Monna looked at Jenny and said, "You're going into the lion’s den, be careful and come back alive." Monna was pretending to be scared while saying this. Jenny nudged Monna gently and said, "Okay, sir." Then Conan left the class.
Milly extended her hand towards Monna and Jenny and said, "Hello, my name is Milly, and I just joined college yesterday." Monna shook her hand and said, "Hi, I’m Monna." Jenny also shook Milly’s hand and said, "Hello, I’m Jenny. If you need to ask anything, feel free to ask us."
Hearing this, Milly was very happy and said, "You two are the first girls who didn’t refuse to be my friend and are helping me. The other girls don’t even talk to me properly." Monna put her hand on Milly’s shoulder and said, "Because they don’t have brains." Hearing this, all three of them started laughing. Seeing Jenny laugh, Milly said, "Do you know the sir? Why did he call you? Will you get a punishment?" Hearing this, Jenny was a little shocked and, with wide eyes, said, "I don’t know him, and I haven’t done anything wrong, so why would I get a punishment?"
Jenny had said all that, but the truth was something else. Jenny said, "Alright, I'll go to Sir's cabin now and find out why he called me." Milly said, "Take care, it seems like Sir is very dangerous from what everyone says." Hearing this, Monna, who didn’t want to laugh, couldn’t stop herself and started laughing.
Seeing this, Jenny said, "Shut up, Monna. If Sir sees you laughing at him, he will definitely eat you alive." Hearing this, Monna immediately became quiet. Jenny looked at Milly and said, "Milly, Sir isn't that dangerous. He just doesn’t smile. Don’t worry, I’ll come back safe and sound." Saying this, Jenny left the class and headed towards Conan Sir’s cabin.
The three of them were unaware that someone had overheard their conversation. That unknown boy angrily muttered to himself, "So, you don’t even know me, and Miss Monna, you find this very funny. Let's see how you laugh tomorrow."
This was none other than Conan, who had forgotten some books and had come back to get them. When he reached outside the class, he heard Milly asking Jenny questions. Hearing this, Conan stayed outside, pretending to be doing something on his mobile so that no one would suspect anything.
When Conan heard Jenny say that she didn’t know him, he didn’t know why, but it made him very angry. However, when he heard that everyone else called him dangerous but Jenny didn’t think so, it made him feel good. Seeing Jenny coming out, Conan quickly went back to his cabin.
A little while later, someone knocked on the cabin door, and Conan said, "Come in." Hearing this, Jenny slowly opened the door and came inside. She said, "Sir, why did you call me? Was there any work?" Conan, composing himself, said, "Today, you didn’t bring your book."
Hearing this, Jenny was shocked and thought to herself, "How did this grump find out?" Then, looking at Conan without any expression, she said, "Sorry, sir, I couldn’t find my book at home." Seeing this, Conan didn’t feel good but said nothing and handed Jenny her physics book.
Seeing this, Jenny said, "How did you get my book?" Conan, continuing his work, said, "Yesterday, Michael came to my house and accidentally brought your book with him and then forgot it there." Jenny thought to herself, "You just wait, little brother, I’ll deal with you when I get home." Then, looking at Conan, she said, "Sorry, sir, if he troubled you."
Conan replied, "There’s no trouble in that; we’ve all known each other since childhood." Jenny said nothing and was about to leave when Conan said, "Jenny, one minute." Hearing her name from Conan’s mouth, Jenny stopped and turned around, saying, "Yes, sir?" Conan said, "Tonight, all of you are coming to our house for dinner. I told Michael yesterday, but Mom said to tell you as well." Jenny just said, "Okay," and left. Conan, without any expression, watched Jenny leave.
Jenny left the cabin and went back to her friends. When Monna and Milly saw her, they were both happy. When Monna saw the physics book in Jenny's hands, she said, "This is the book you couldn't find, right?" Jenny smiled and said, "I might have forgotten it in class, so a professor found it and gave it to Conan Sir since it was a physics book."
Milly said, "Oh, so that’s why Sir called you to his cabin." Jenny nodded in agreement. Then, the three of them attended their remaining classes and then went to their respective homes.
Jenny reached home and, without any expression, told her mom, "We have to go to Conan's house for dinner tonight." Hearing this, her mom proudly said, "Yes, we know. Conan himself called my daughter Emily and told her."
Jenny didn’t say anything and went to her room, closed the door, and said to herself, "Yeah, I know how he must have told you. You people lie so much. If he had told you, why would he have to tell me?"
