Nerd meets Nerdier

l take a deep breath as i look at the ginormous building standing in front of me. I start to make my way to the principal’s office because that's the only place I know in this school. “Good morning,ma.” I said. The principal looked up, confused at first but her face warmed up when she saw and she flashed me a warm smile. “Good morning, dear. How are you?” “ I'm fine, ma.” I look down, not knowing how to explain to her that I didn't know my way to class. “You seem lost. Are you lost?” She looks at, the warm smile still shining brightly on her face. “Yes ma.” I say shyly. “Alright hang on.” She takes the intercom and says into it ‘Bridget, please report to the principal’s office.” She looks at me and tells me “ Don't worry, someone's coming to take you to your class.” I stood there awkwardly while waiting for this ‘Bridget’ I heard a knock on the door and a girl with braces, glasses and lots of freckles walks inside. “Good morning ma'am.” Braces girl said. “Good morning Bridget.” Ohh, she's Bridget. I mentally face palm myself for not realizing sooner. “Hope you don't mind me pulling you out of class. I wanted you to take this fine young lady to class. Braces girl, I mean, Bridget looks at me weirdly like she's trying to see through my soul. She brings out her hands and smiles at me expectantlywaiting for me to take her handshake. “Hi, I'm Bridget. What's your name?” I take her hand and say “Hi, I'm Noelle.” “That's a nice name. I love it.” She says, still displaying her 32 held down by braces. “Um..thanks?” I didn't mean for it to come out that way I swear. It was weird because I've never received a compliment from anyone else asides my parents. “I think you too should head to class. You don't want to miss first period.” The principal said, smiling at us. “Yes ma, sorry ma.” Bridget takes my hand and soon we start running to y first class-English. I walk into the class and freeze because everyone had their eyes on me. “Hello there.” The English teacher was talking to me. “G..good morning ma.” I start stuttering because I could feel everyone's eyes on me and I didn't like the feeling of it. “ Do you want to introduce yourself to the class?” She asks, clearly oblivious of my discomfort. “Y..ye..yes ma.” I turned to face the class and I take a deep breath “My name is Noelle Michaels.” “What a lovely name. You can go sit on any sit you want.” I scan the classroom looking for an empty sit and I spot Bridget waving her hand towards me and gesturing me to come sit on the sit beside her. God, thank you for Bridget. I carry my legs and move to where Bridget was sitting and set my butt on the chair next to her. “Alright kids,” that's the teacher talking “ let's get back to what we were saying.”
