Chapter1
Logan's POV
I had a secret. One that could not only get me expelled but also put me in danger. But I was good at keeping secrets and no one found out the truth about who I was for a long time. Until…
Tonight…
I had just run out of my inhibitors and my heat was fast approaching. For an omega who pretended to be an alpha just so I could get into the top school for alphas only in the pack, I had to keep my scent hidden.
But my pheromones were out of control and it was too late to go out to get more inhibitors. So I hid in the locker room, unable to return to my room because it would be easy for other alphas to catch my scent and find out the truth.
I didn't expect that anyone would show up at the locker room, and not just anyone, it had to be the asshole that I hated the most with every claw on my hands.
“I have to admit, Logan, you're a cunning little thing.” James said, locking the door shut behind him and I backed away from him.
“Get out, James. Stay away from me.” I spat, trying to act as tough as I used to but he scoffed, closing the distance between us.
“I always knew there was something bratty about you. Trying to act tough won't help you now, I know what you are.” He whispered, cornering me and I let out a shaky breath.
“I'm not—”
“What's an omega doing in a school for alphas only?” He growled, slamming his hand over my hand by the wall and I flinched. “Are you insane? Are you f*****g stupid? Do you know what would happen to you if others found you?”
“What's your problem with it?” I questioned defiantly and he scoffed. “I can do whatever I want. You don't get a say just because you caught me—”
“I've always thought you were stupid. But this is a whole different level of foolishness!” He spat and in fury, I pushed him off me.
“And what's it to you, asshole?” I questioned in anger as I stepped toward him and he stepped backwards. “I'm stupid? Foolish? So what? You have no right to judge me. You're rich. You get everything you want on a gold platter!”
“Why are you making this about me?” He asked in frustration and I scoffed in disbelief.
“Do you think I want to be here too? To hang around losers like you? Bullies and stupid spoilt brats like you make me f*****g mad, and you think I want to lie about who I am? I get a scholarship to attend the top school in the whole pack only if I'm an alpha and you think I'm supposed to turn down the offer?” I said in exasperation and he froze for a minute, staring at me like he had never seen me before.
“No wonder you've always ignored questions about your background.” James finally replied with a smirk. “And you smell quite delicious, I wouldn't lie—”
“Get out, James.”
“Mhm… Just like that? When I now know your secret?” He paused, his lips curving even more and I froze. “That's not how this s**t works, is it?”
“I swear to the goddess, if you tell anyone—”
“What? You're gonna hit me? What can a mere omega do to an alpha like me?” He asked, his tone mocking and my hands clenched into fists.
“What gives you the right to think you're stronger than me just because you're an alpha? You—” My words caught in my throat when he was suddenly in front of me and the next second, I was pinned to the wall.
His pheromones suddenly filled the room, enveloping my nostrils and as much as it felt like I was being choked, it calmed me more than I wanted to admit.
“You wanna fight back? Go ahead.” He whispered and I gulped. “You were born to be submissive. And you know despite your quirky lips, you will submit to me when I ask you to. Isn't that right, Logan?”
“f**k. Off.” I spat and he sneered, his hands still pinning mine above my head. “If I'm gonna be submissive to anyone, it would never be you. You're a f****d up psycho.”
“Really?” He asked in amusement. “I see the way you look at me—”
“Are you serious? I hate you with everything in me. And I hate you even more now.”
“Why? Because I'm better than you? More handsome? More popular? Or because you want me and can't tell me?” He questioned, his face inches from mine and even though I boiled with anger, my eyes couldn't help but drop to his lips.
“Let go of me. You have no idea that being so close to me will make you smell like me, right?” I asked but he simply shrugged like it was nothing.
“And you will smell like me. I'm helping you here, you ungrateful omega.”
“Don't call me that!” I spat in anger, wanting to punch that smirk off his face but he was holding my hands tightly.
“Your pheromones have been regulated thanks to mine. Shouldn't you be grateful?” He questioned and I paused, sniffing the air and I realized he was right.
“I didn't ask for your help. So why should I be grateful?” I questioned, tilting my head just slightly and he scoffed, his breath hitting my face.
“You know… one little slip up from me will ruin your life.”
“You wouldn't dare.”
“Daring me? How bold. I could easily tell everyone what you really are. And you know what will happen.” He whispered and I froze. “You'll be off the football team, you'll be expelled, and who knows what the other alphas will do to you. I can't even guarantee your safety. Do you want to risk that?”
He wasn't kidding and I knew that. His brows were raised at me and he looked at me like I was his prey, making me look so small compared to him.
I had feared this happening but not with him.
“What do you want?” I asked, trying to be strong but my voice came out shakily and he smiled in victory.
“Let's make a deal.” He muttered as I raised a brow. “Tomorrow's football game. I am going to win. And when I win, you will do everything I want. Every single thing I ask of you. You disobey, I tell the school your secret.” He offered, finally letting go of me and I flexed my wrists gently.
“And if I win?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.
“You won't.” He replied confidently and I scoffed.
“If I do?” I asked again and he placed his hand on his chin, thinking for a moment.
“If you win, I'll keep your secret. No one will ever find out from me. And I'll do whatever you want.” He replied and I thought about his offer, realizing it was actually a good deal.
All I had to do was win.
“When I win, you will stay away from me and forget that tonight ever happened.” I repeated and he stepped closer to me, his eyes twinkling as he extended his hand.
“Not gonna happen. But deal.” He whispered and I took his hand, giving it a firm shake before letting go.
“Can't wait for you to be my little omega slave, Logan.” He muttered and before I could respond, he was out of the locker room.
Letting myself get caught was a mistake. But making a deal with James was the worst mistake of my life.
