"Laura, you love me, right? If you really like me, then take off your clothes."

Laura grew up as an orphan, and life became a nightmare after she was adopted by the Watson family. Constantly bullied by her adoptive parents and sister Bella, she was called worthless for not shifting at eighteen.

The only warmth in her life came from her adoptive brother, Brian—whom she secretly loved. But Brian was already engaged to someone else, and her hopes were shattered when her adoptive mother forced her to take Bella’s place and marry a powerful, ruthless Alpha named Matthew.

While trying to escape, Laura overheard a shocking secret—Matthew was her uncle. And the Watsons weren’t her saviors but the ones who had murdered her real parents.

And they raised her just for a treasure.

Devastated but unwilling to surrender, Laura swore revenge. She planned to use Matthew as a pawn in her game—until the moment she stood at the altar and caught the intoxicating scent of her fated mate.

Would she still carry out her vengeance, or had fate just dealt her the cruelest twist of all?

Chapter 1 Laura the Bullied
Laura's POV: At the front of the classroom, the professor, Fernando, was scrawling some mind-numbing formulas on the board. I couldn't help but let my gaze drift out the window, only to be greeted by the sight of my sister, Bella Watson, in a compromising position with Orlando. They were huddled in a corner, lost in a passionate kiss, Orlando's hand already slipping beneath her shirt. My eyes widened in disbelief. Bella was shameless! Not long ago, she'd gotten engaged to Matthew Smith, Alpha of the Wildclaw pack. Everyone knew of Matthew—a cold-hearted killer who wouldn't hesitate to end a life. Rumor had it he once killed a guy just for staring at him the wrong way. Yet here was Bella, hooking up with another guy as if she had no cares in the world. Didn't she fear Matthew's wrath? As my mind raced with these thoughts, Bella caught my eye. She pushed Orlando away and shot me a glare so cold it sent shivers down my spine. I knew it. Bella wouldn't let this go. Whenever she was in a bad mood, I always ended up as her punching bag—even if I had nothing to do with it. She'd always hated me, constantly bullying me and pulling cruel pranks. All because I was the adopted daughter of the Watson family, her supposed sister in name only. Bella refused to acknowledge it. She'd shower me with the vilest insults, calling me a worthless slut. Especially last year, when I turned eighteen and didn't manifest a Lupus like everyone else. From that moment on, Bella's torment intensified. In her eyes, I was nothing but a useless waste of space. True to form, after class, Bella marched up to me and hissed. "If you dare tell my parents or anyone else about this, you'd better be ready to face my revenge, you Wolfless outcast!" "I won't tell anyone," I replied softly. I had no plans to say a word. I knew my adoptive parents would never believe me. They'd just think I was trying to tarnish their precious Bella's reputation out of jealousy. Bella didn't look convinced. A wicked grin spread across her lips, and her eyes gleamed with malice. She was already plotting her next move. After school, I lingered in the classroom. I had no idea what Bella had planned, but running out the door seemed like a bad idea. Maybe a bucket of water might come crashing down on me the moment I opened the door. Or maybe I would be thrown into some creepy, forgotten room for hours—or worse, days. These were all things Bella had done to me before. But today, I wasn't so lucky. Bella approached with her lackeys, Aiden and Cole, in tow. They were always eager to please her and help her torment me. They cornered me, their disgusting eyes raking over my body. "What do you want?" I asked, my voice trembling. Bella let out a cold laugh. "Since you saw something you shouldn't have, it's time for a lesson, bitch." At her signal, Aiden and Cole pounced. Their hands were on me in an instant, tearing at my clothes like animals. I stumbled backward, my back hitting the cold wall. What was she going to do? Their grubby hands pawed at me, making me sick with terror and revulsion. "No! Don't touch me! Let me go!" I screamed, but no one intervened. Some even smirked as if this was some twisted joke. My clothes were reduced to tatters, leaving me in scraps of fabric. I clutched at my chest, tears streaming down my face. Bella watched with satisfaction. "You're a weak, Wolfless nobody. You can't even save yourself," she sneered. I broke down, my body shaking with sobs. Bella's voice hissed in my ear. "Next time, they'll all have a turn inside you. You'll remember this, won't you? Your sluttish soul will surely like that." After they left, I curled up in the corner, trembling and too terrified to move, fearing they might come back. I didn't know how long I stayed there before I heard Brian's warm voice. "Laura, what happened? Did someone hurt you again?" It was Brian Watson, my brother—the only one in this family who genuinely cared about me. He knelt beside me, his face etched with concern, and helped me to my feet. But faced with his worry and confusion, I could only stay silent, shaking my head. I couldn't bring myself to tell him it was Bella. How could I? She was his real sister. Brian didn't push, as considerate as ever. Instead, he took off his jacket and wrapped it around me, shielding me from the cold. Tears stung my eyes. I wanted to throw myself into his arms and confess my love for him, but I couldn't. He was my brother, and there was an invisible line I couldn't cross. Besides, Brian was engaged to Sara Taylor, the sister of Karl Taylor, Alpha of our Silvermoon Pack. "Thank you, Brian. I feel better now," I whispered. Whenever I was with Brian, I tried to put on a brave face, hoping he'd see me differently. But every time, I ended up looking like a mess, leaving me drowning in shame. Brian's eyes softened as if he could read my thoughts. "It's going to be okay, Laura. Everyone hits rough patches, but you'll get through this. I know you will." I met his gaze with gratitude, but my heart skipped a beat when his eyes flickered to my chest. Heat flooded my cheeks, and I tugged at the jacket, trying to cover up. I stole a furtive glance at Brian. Could Brian possibly feel the same way about me? But Brian seemed oblivious to my discomfort. He sighed, a hint of sadness in his voice. "Laura, I wish Sara were more like you—kind, gentle, and understanding. Sometimes, I just feel like I can't breathe beside her." I felt a flutter in my chest. I'd secretly had a crush on Brian for over a decade, and no one knew. Did this mean he had feelings for me? Could we ever be together? The thought made my face burn. But before I could process it further, Brian helped me up. "Let's go home." We sat in the back seat of the car, Brian staring out the window, lost in thought, while I sneaked glances at him. If Brian didn't love Sara, did I have a chance? My heart raced at the possibility. Suddenly, I felt a gentle touch on my back. It was Brian! Did he feel the same way? I was about to ask when the car stopped, and Brian got out. "Laura, I've got some news for you," my adoptive mother, Mabel Watson, called out. I turned to her, catching the mocking smile on her face. It was strange. She rarely spoke to me so kindly, hating me as much as Bella did. "Starting tomorrow, you're done with school," Mabel said. "Why?" I asked, a knot of dread forming in my stomach. "Because soon, you'll be Alpha Matthew's bride," she said with a malicious grin.
