Chapter 2 Part 1

4560 Words
The next morning came a bit faster than Akiyama thought it would. She sat up from her bed and rubbed her eyes to get rid of the sleepiness after turning her alarm off. After a few seconds, her eye’s widened when she remembered what had happened last night. She let out a groan because she couldn’t believe she let her emotions get the best of her. She shook her head and tried not to think about it. Who is she kidding? Her idol was in her room and not only that, but she had also told him part of why she was crying. She let her idol see her cry! She let out a huff as she scolded herself in the head. She got up and got dressed in her school uniform. She was able to wear pants instead of a skirt like the other girls. She was happy for it to since she doesn’t like skirts anyway. As she exited her room and went into the elevator to go downstairs, Bakugo came out of his dorm as well. She waited for him to enter the elevator before she pressed the lobby floor. When the doors shut, Bakugo started the conversation. “So, are you gonna tell me why you left crying at the end of the movie, or are you going to act like it never happened?” Bakugo said. I gave a huff and said, “I really don’t want to talk to anyone about what happened last night. I am embarrassed enough as it is, and I do not need you to add to it. I just felt a little down and that is all you need to know.” “So, how was it hanging out with your Idol?” Firework said with a smirk on his face. I felt my face heat up a bit, but I ignored him and was relieved when the doors opened to signal that we had reached the bottom floor. I immediately stepped out of the elevator to see that no one was there yet. “Is no one here?” I asked Firework. “No, those losers don’t get up until 10 minutes before class. And do not think you are getting out of answering me. He’s still your Idol after all this f*****g time, isn’t he?” he answered. “Yes, he is, now drop it. I am gonna get some cereal, you want a bowl?” I asked him, wanting to not talk about why my face was heating up again. “Sure” he said and sat down at the table. I looked at the options of cereal and decided to go with Honey-Nut Cheerio’s. I grabbed two bowls out, once I found them, and I set them on the counter. I poured the cereal then poured the milk and grabbed two spoons to put in the bowls. I grabbed both of the bowls and set one down in front of Bakugo then sat down next to him and started eating. A few minutes later when we were both done, other people started to come down. Some had tired looks in their eye’s, and other’s looked like whey have been up for a few minutes. Some waved and others bumped into things as they weren’t quite awake yet. I got up and cleaned my bowl then grabbed my backpack and started heading to class. The walk there was quite peaceful even though it was freezing out. I have to remember to wear an extra jacket tomorrow. I went through the door of the classroom and looked around. I was actually the first one here. I went over and sat down in my seat as I waited for class to begin. Slowly, people started coming in. The seat the perv was in is empty though so I don’t know what is gonna happen. As soon as the bell rang, Mr. Aizawa stepped into class and went to his desk. After taking roll call, he announced, “Okay everyone, you may or may not have noticed that Mineta is not here. As of yesterday, he has been expelled. Being that as it may, another student will be taking his place.” He motioned at the door and in walked a guy with purple hair who kinda reminded me of the teacher. “This is Hitoshi Shinso, he will be replacing Mineta as of today.” Mr. Aizawa said. “Welcome to class 1-A.” Everyone except me said at the same time. I didn’t say it because I didn’t know we were supposed to do that. “Shinso, your seat is the one behind Kaminari.” Mr. Aizawa said and pointed to where Denki was. The guy named Shinso walked over and offered a small smile to Denki then sat down and had that uninterested look on his face again. “Alright, now get your books out and turn to page 492. You will be reviewing this chapter and prepare for a test on Friday. You can partner up if you want but no screaming or yelling. And absolutely no use of quirks during this class period.” Mr. Aizawa said and looked pointedly at Bakugo. There were a few snickers from people, but Bakugo just scowled and rolled his eyes. When the bell rang, Mr. Aizawa said, “Class dismissed. All except for Akiyama and Shinso, you two come here for a moment.” Bakugo looked at me before I just shook my head and signaled for him to go. After a few minutes, to make sure no one was listening, Mr. Aizawa spoke up. “I am assigning you two as partners. From what I know, you have trouble sleeping at night as well as some…. thoughts that you need help with. Shinso has Insomnia and has delt with something like that so I am pairing you up so you can help each other. Any questions?” “Yeah, um, why are we doing this? Also, what brought this up?” Shinso asked. Before Mr. Aizawa could say anything, I spoke up, “Um, sir, no offence, but I don’t need any help. I have lived so far, even though that’s a miracle in itself, and I don’t need to drag more people into this mess. I appreciate your help, but I don’t need it.” “Well, clearly you need help if you are still going through whatever it is you are going through. You two can help each other and there is no getting out of it.” He said. I nodded my head and ended up walking with Shinso to the next class. He didn’t say anything, so I didn’t either until he said, “If I know d-Mr. Aizawa, he won’t let us out of this, so I guess we kind of have to get along.” “It’s not the getting along part I am concerned about, it’s the helping part. I have survived this long and haven’t blown up from too many emotions so far, so I think I am good. But if we have to, we could start out as acquaintances and maybe go from there?” I spoke. I noticed that he messed up when saying Mr. Aizawa but I let it go not thinking anything if it. As much as I don’t want to do anything, I don’t want to disappoint my Idol and tell this guy to f**k off just because I don’t want any help. “Okay, I guess we can do that. What is your name?” he agreed. “My name is Kiiarda Akiyama. Nice to meet you.“ I said and held out my hand for him to shake. “Hitoshi Shinso.” He said and shook my hand. When we entered the classroom, a few people looked at us and Present Mic asked, “Hello listeners, why are you two late to class?” “Mr. Aizawa wanted to speak with us, and it dragged out a little bit. Sorry Present Mic.” I said. “Oh, it’s alright, now you two sit down and get your books out.” We nodded our head and sat down. Why the classes are an hour and a half long, I have no idea but now that this class is over, it’s lunch time. As we all headed to the lunchroom, Bakugo walked next to me and asked, “What the hell did he want?” “He just thought that since we both were new to the class, we would be good friends and that we were partnered up for a project that is due next Friday. Also, he partnered up you and Izu for the project.” I said. I hope he doesn’t catch on to my lie at the beginning, but I will probably tell him later. After we got our food and sat down, the others sat down around us including Shinso. “Hey.” He said. “Hi.” I said a little awkward. “What the hell?” Bakugo said and looked at Shinso. “Um, is this by any chance the girl that you were talking about yesterday?” Shinso asked. “Yeah why? You got a problem with it Sleepy?” Bakugo questioned. “No, I don’t have a problem. I just didn’t know that this is who you were talking about.” Bakugo gave off a bit of a growl and turned to me as he ate his food. “How are you holding up since yesterday? After the fight I mean.” “I am good. Recovery Girl is a person I want to talk to more. I only have a slight pain on my side otherwise I feel great.” I said. He just nodded and went into conversation with whoever sat by him. I continued eating until Izu spoke to me. “So, aside from that, where exactly did you end up moving to?” “Um, I actually ended up in America. It wasn’t bad at first but it kinda got out of control after a few months. But now I am back and that’s all I could ask for. I missed you and Firework.” I said. I really did not want to talk about what happened right now, especially when there are so many people around. “Of course you missed us. Although you missed me more because I am the best.” Firework said. Me and Izu rolled our eyes and I said, “I missed you both the same. Are you telling me that you didn’t miss me one bit?” “Of course he missed you. I thought he was going to burn the school down when he found out that you moved away without saying anything. I didn’t know what to do.” Izuku said. “I almost did burn that shitty place down. The only reason why I + was because the teachers stopped me. I thought that you weren’t coming back so you could imagine the surprise when I got your letter on Monday.” Bakugo said. I just gave a smile and saw that people were staring at us. “Um, what’s wrong?” I asked. “We’re just not used to Blasty here and Midoriya not fighting. It’s a little strange.” Denki said. “Oh really? I can see why but it wasn’t that strange when we were young. By the way, do you remember what exactly the project was about?” I asked trying to change the subject since I did not want to talk about that. “Um, I think it was about something to do with Pro Hero’s.” A girl with pink cheeks said. ”You are right Uraraka, Mr. Aizawa told us this morning that we were to do a project report on Pro Hero’s. He said that we could choose who we do the report on and that it was due next Friday. So, we have about a week and a half to complete this project. Now if I recall, Aoyama was partnered up with Denki, Bakugo was partnered up with Midoriya, Shinso with Akiyama, Kouda with Sato, Mina and Kirishima with Sero, me with Todoroki, Uraraka with Ojiro, Tsuyu with Hagakure, Shoji with Momo, and Jiro is with Tokoyami. We all should do our best on this project since this is a big part of our grade. Although we should always do our best on all-“ Ida said before Bakugo interrupted him. “Can it four eyes! Stop fuckin talkin!” Bakugo screamed. He immediately stopped talking and sat back down. There were a few giggles at the table, but they soon got engrossed with different conversations. I just sat there with my lunch while I let the world around me disappear as I ate. A few minutes passed before I was shaken back to reality by Firework, who was actually shaking me to get my attention. I shook my head and stood up to throw my tray away and followed them to the other classes. Once we got closer, I dragged behind a little bit to walk next to Shinso. “Um, is there a way that I can get your number so we can schedule a time and place to go over this project and find out who we are going to do?” I asked him. He just held out his hand, so I gave him my phone once I unlocked it. After he was done, he gave it back and I made a mental note to change the name to ‘Sleepy Cat’ instead of just Shinso. I said thanks and sent a little wolf emoji threw the text. Going through English class was a pain in the ass okay. I may have been in America for a few years, but it doesn’t mean that I am an expert at it. All these verb, noun, proper noun, and other stuff confuses the hell out of me. But since Science was next and the last class of the day, I was willing to sit through it so I could possibly make something explode depending on what we were doing in Science. Turns out, I couldn’t do anything in that class. We were learning about the Earth and the layers of it. Well, what we know about the layers of it. That s**t was boring as hell, and I couldn’t wait for the class to be over. Some people actually fell asleep in the class. I am surprised that they didn’t get in trouble but oh well. When class was over with and we could go back to our dorms, I sent Shinso a text asking when he would like to meet to go over the project. I was about to walk with Bakugo when Shinso replied with a text saying he could meet up now before he gets to his new dorm since he has to unpack all of his stuff. I sent him a thumbs up and asked where to meet. He said it would be better to just walk to the dorms, so I turned my phone off and looked for his spiked up purple hair. Once I found him, I walked over and said, “Hey.” “Hey, so just so you know, I am not going to be doing this project on my own, you are going to do your part and I will do mine, but I will not do it by myself.” He said. “One, I wasn’t going to have you do this s**t by yourself anyway so you can drop that attitude and help me decide who we are going to do the project on. Screw doing this s**t outside in the cold, we are gonna go to my dorm and talk there. Okay?” I said. Like did he just assume that about me or what the f**k was he thinking. He just nodded back with a taken aback expression on his face. I walked with him in silence to Hight’s Alliance while wondering what he was thinking. Often, I am wondering what other people are thinking and I get side-tracked. When we entered the building, Bakugo was the first person to greet me. “Where the f**k were you Tricycle?!” “I was talking to Shinso about the project. What are you, my father?” I said in a bit of an irritated tone. I get we haven’t seen each other in forever, but sometimes he can be a bit…...overprotective. “I was just asking where you were because I didn’t see you after class. You disappeared once, who’s to say it won’t happen again?” he said. “Maybe so, but I won’t go without putting up a fight if it happens again. Which I doubt but whatever. If you need me, I will be in my room with Shinso going over the project.” I said and led Shinso to my room. Nothing was said until we got into the elevator and started going up. “So, are you sure that you want to let them know I am with you?” “Yeah, and if they try somethin,’ I’ll just beat their ass. Why?” I reassured. “Just because people usually avoid me. You aren’t so I was just wondering.” He said. “Oh, well I don’t care who the person is, I will treat you with respect. Unless you piss me off or do something to change that. You’re fine so don’t worry about it.” I said with a small smile on my face. He just nodded, not quiet trusting my words and followed me out of the elevator when it dinged. Once we got to my room, I opened the door and set my backpack down next to the bed. “Okay, you can sit anywhere you want, and you can put your stuff anywhere as well. How exactly do we start this project?” I asked. He thought for a moment before saying, “Well, the first thing we need to do is pick a hero to do the project on. So, I guess the question is, who do you want to do?” “That depends entirely on who you want to do. Also, no matter who we end up choosing, can we not tell the class? I don’t want them knowing till the day of.” I said. He nodded and said, “Well, please don’t judge me for this and we can’t let the teacher know either, but I was hoping that we could choose……Eraserhead….” It took me a moment before I could respond, “Hell yes we can do the teacher! I am gonna let you in a little secret okay. Since I am not judging you, you won’t judge me, right?” He just nodded so I said, “Okay well…. Mr. Aizawa is my all-time favorite Hero. I think he’s better then All Might, and you will not believe the amount of internal fangirling I have had to hide whenever I am near him. He has been my Idol ever since I was a kid and I first saw him on TV. In fact, he kinda reminds me of me just the tiniest bit.” Shinso looked taken aback a little bit and said, “He’s my favorite hero as well. But what do you mean he reminds you of you?” “Okay well, you think my quirk is kinda flashy right?” I asked him. He hesitantly nodded his head, so I continued, “Well, when my quirk first developed, I was ecstatic. I had not one, but three? That was pretty amazing. When it developed, I guess all three tried to activate at the same time so something like a small explosion set off. The shield part of my quirk is somewhat embedded in my skin now, but I can still use it outside of my body. When I told Firework and Izu, they were happy for me, and they liked my quirk. But when I told others and showed them……they called me a villain because only a villain would have three quirks and only villains have dark colors. My favorite color is black, my quirks colors are also black, and I tend to have a tiny bit of a dark aura so that didn’t help either. So yeah, I was called a villain when I was young and sometimes, I still get called that.” “I say he reminds me of me because I am sure that somewhere along the way, he was called a villain once too. Maybe he even got depressed at one point like I have multiple times. But he pushed through and still became a Hero. I wish to be like that to. He’s someone I aspire to be.” I said. Oh f**k, I wasn’t supposed to tell him about the depressed part. Damn it. “I have been called a villain to. Because I can use my mind to control people that answer me, a lot of people have said it’s the perfect quirk for a ‘villain.’ In fact, my own parents didn’t want me because they were scared of me and my quirk. They didn’t want to raise a ‘villain.’ They dropped me off at an orphanage and never came back. A few years ago, I was adopted by two people that have changed my life. So now I have two dads, a little sister, and I could not be happier with my home life. Back to what you said before, you were depressed?” he said. “I don’t want to talk about it. Um, we should get a move on with the project now that we know who we are gonna do.” I said and stirred the direction away from my personal life. I did not want to get into that right now. I haven’t even told Kat or Izu yet. He just nodded and we started going over what we know of the hero and writing it down. After a few minutes I asked, “Why don’t we turn this into a power point thing instead of a regular report?” “Yeah, we can do that. Are you going to create it?” he asked. “Well, I can design it, but we are going to set it up together. Deal?” “Yeah, deal.” He said and shook my hand. While I was still shaking his hand, I said, “This makes us friends, whether you like it or not.” And let go. He shook his head, but you could see the smallest hint of a smile on his face. I took that as him accepting it, so I was a bit happy about that. After an hour and a half, I decided that we should go down to see if anyone knew what was being done for dinner. I walked out of my door first to see that Firework was there and it looked like he was about to open my door. “Dinners ready you fuckers. Let’s go.” We followed him all the way to the dining table and sat down. “Does everyone know who they are gonna choose for the project?” The girl named Uraraka said. A bunch of yesses were said while I just had a small smile on my face. The next few minutes were filled with the rest of the class discussing who was doing the report on who. And to no surprise, Bakugo and Midoriya chose to do All Might. After dinner was done and the kitchen was cleaned, I met Bakugo in the elevator. Remembering the conversation I had with Mina and Kirishima, I decided to ask, “So, how is yours and Izu’s relationship?” He must have expected that because he said, “I knew you were going to bring that up at some point. When do you want to talk about this?” “So there is stuff to talk about? Let’s do your room.” I said as he nodded, and we walked to his room. I sat on his bed with my feet propped up against the wall and waited for him to get situated. He ended up sitting on his desk chair with his feet up on his desk. “So, what do you want to know first?” he asked me. “Well, why not start out with answering my question. Was I right?” He let out a sigh and said, “Yes, you were right. I have a bit of a crush on him.” I had a smile on my face and was about to ask another question when he said, “I will only tell you more if you tell me and Deku what the hell happened when you were away.” ‘Damn it.’ I thought. Knowing he was not going to let this go, I let out a sigh and said, “Fine, but I want you to explain first! Otherwise, I won’t talk.” He thought for a minute then said, “Fine. I will talk first, then you will talk.” “Deal.” I said. I repositioned myself so I was sitting crisscross on his bed and facing him. “Okay, so yes, I have a crush on Deku, but that does not matter because I have no chance with him. Not with how I treated him and how I acted. He can say he ‘forgives’ me all he wants, but I know he truly doesn’t……...” he said and went to telling me what all he had done the past few years. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. “Please tell me that you at least apologized for the middle school incident and for all the bullying. That would make things a lot easier.” I wondered. He just looked at me then at the floor. “That’s it, you are coming with me. Let’s go.” I said and headed to Izu’s dorm. Firework realized this and turned to leave but I grabbed his arm and dragged him with me. Yeah, he was screaming at me to let him go and for people to help him, but nobody listened. There were some that smirked, and I just waved. “Mina! Kirishima!” I called out. “Yes?” they said at the same time. “First, Kirishima, can you hold him with your quirk?” I asked. “Sure.” He said a little skeptical. After he grabbed him, I said, “Thanks Kirishima. We have some things to do about a certain project of ours.” With a sly smile. It took a moment before their eyes lit up. “Does that mean it’s true on your end?” Mina asked. By that time, we had reached Izu’s dorm, so I said, “One moment.” I grabbed Bakugo from Kirishima and held him by his arm. “You move, I will shock you like never before. Okay?” I said with a smile. Bakugo just nodded his head, so I knocked on the door and waited for an answer. “Come in!”
