OUR TWO WORLDS

"Mum! how did you get this?"I asked in awe,turning the dancing sculpture up and down for the perfect view. No matter how much I looked at it,I can't just get to conclude what they are. A golden glass demarcated the two figures dancing together with their hand intertwined. I stopped not knowing what I could call those creatures, and mum having sensed this ,smiled, gently patting my strawberry hair,which always felt good,no matter how much I hated to admit. "Mum, can you please stop treating me like a Child?" I asked laying more emphasis on the word child, who in turns,bursted into laughter,making me frown and what's funny with that again. "Oh! how much I forget,my five years baby will become six this year"She said sarcastically,chuckling and the same time pinching my cheeks. "Mum!"I cried out "That's hurting" "And I never said,you can't try it with me too my dear ocean"she retorted making a full fledged chortle. What a great mum! "Anyway,can you tell me who this creatures are?" I inquired "Or are they also living in water like us,but they didnt..." I was about to end when mum interrupted. "They are called Humans,and they are not living in water like us but on ground. As you can see,they are a bit different from us, we get tails ,they get legs. They do walk,we do swim". "Wow!That's interesting"I exclaimed. " You know have heard of Humans before from Arion". " Prince Arion"she affirmed. "Anyhow, Prince Arion, but I didn't know they look like this". "He said they are up there, and judging how he do talk about them, seems we are inferior to them". I concluded sadly. She laughed "Who said so oceane?" Mum asked "Nobody is inferior if I should say,come to think of it we can decide to be a Human,and can still choose to be a Mermaid, but they, they can't live in ocean except that place". "So does that means,we are more superior to them"I asked mum,expecting a positive answer. I can't just let some creatures up there turns out to be our boss. Mum smiled, sensing how willful I was in hearing the answer,or maybe because of the disappointment coming on the wat, and yeah! it was, a big disappointment. " Unfortunately,We ain't,trust me if actually you go up there,you wouldn't want to return into ocean again". She affirmed. Well,for mum to say something like that,then I gat no doubt in that world,it must have being a real good. But,wait! How does she knows that and where did she found this?. I looked up to mum who was now stupidly smiling.Please don't tell me I guess right. She pressed her finger on my mouth and said... "That's should be our dirty little secret". She winked. "And in return?"I asked devishly raising my eyebrows. She laughed out loud which am glad of,I hope I continue to make her laugh,it was a vow from dad before his death. "You know ,you can never stop to amaze me ocean,it yours you know, I purposely bought it for you"She laughed again patting my hair this time I didnt complain. ------------------------------------------ Days goes by,Mum would swimmed out to the other world at night and would have returned again to my side at dawn. I really don't know how she was able to do that without getting caught,but whatever the case is I pray she doesn't because I can't even imagine my life without her. You know, sometimes,I really do wonder why mum was so much keen into this other world, is it only the dress,all those fancy things that enticed her just like she had said,or there is another thing entirely. But, I didnt bother to asked her as far as I know,I don't care about whatever she's doing all I wanted was her happiness . Mum even promised to take me there, when I reach eighteen, I didnt know how we're going to do that,but since mum is a living witness then everything is so so possible. My thought ,which I wished could last long. Unfortunately,everything drastically changed one day which unravels the beginning of my mysteries. Then, my imagination came into realities,A life without mum again.
