Episode one The family of Rosalinda Araneta is known as the most prestigious and wealthiest family in manila. years ago, a nanny was hired to care for the children of Rosalinda and Teresa the mother of Isabella happened to be picked by these family to cater for their children. Teresa been a loving and caring woman, was devoted to her role and took the children as hers offering them love and guidance. Despite her hardwork and care towards the children, she was still treated as irrelevant and a mere servant undeserving of any good thing. Teresa inorder to fend for herself and her daughter Isabella, sacrificed her own need and time to be with her own daughter. she worked overtime and lived with the Araneta's spending more time with their children than her own. Teresa a single mother, with her daughter Isabella led a life that can be compared to that of a pauper while her employer lived a life of luxury. Despite these great disparity, Teresa was contented with what she had and believed that her hardwork will speak for her someday. Teresa faced different health challenges while working for the Araneta's but she never opened up to anyone because no one will be willing to assist her even when she asks for her long overdue payment, she receives insults and humiliation from them.she remained loyal to these wealthy family despite her challenges but they cared less of her and her daughter. Things took a different turn when Teresa was unjustly dismissed due to some family scandals which they wanted someone else to take the blame. Teresa, not knowing what else to do asked for her payment but was met with cold-shoulder. This condition shattered Teresa and gave rise to her harboured health crisis. She was hospitalized for years as she sent messages to the Araneta's to provide her some money from her withheld payment but all her messages fell on deaf ears. Teresa, not able to manage the pain, betrayal and misery that has befallen her gave up the ghost leaving her only daughter alone with no one to fend for her.
