Teardrops On A Cloud Form A Rainbow

Lacey was 7 years old when it started. She started having these dreams, these terrifying dreams that no 7 year old child should have.  They started off with her waking up in the morning and having to get dressed. The colour day was blue, but today Lacey wanted to wear green because she knew she was different. Lacey decided she was going to wear green. Even though she knew the colour police would kill her on the big horses. As she left the house she was trampled by the big horses as she had wore green while everyone else wore blue. These were her dreams for along long time.    She had tried to tell to her parents about these dreams but her parents simply told her  “Lacey these dreams your haven are called nightmares these will go away just try not to think about them”.  Lacey knew that there was a deeper meaning to these recurring dreams even though she was only 7.  When Lacey became older around 13 years old, as all her friends start to like all these famous guys, such as the new hit wonder boy band High Side.  Lacey had no interest in them. Her 3 best friends Gemma, Sasha and Mitchie all had a crush on the lead singer Troy! Lacey started to notice she didn’t like guys at all she taught as them as friends only.  Her and her parents taught it was due to her age. One night Lacey had overheard her parents talking about her. Her mother Ann had said to her father “I’ve noticed Lacey doesn’t have any posters of that new boy band on her walls. I’m starting to regret buys these tickets for her birthday. All her friends are always talking about them John” “Well maybe it’s good she’s not interested in guys yet, I’ve no worries about her not liking guys at all. I would prefer if she stayed my little lace forever and never like them” he leaned closer and hugged his wife whispering “don’t worry honey she will love them.” Lacey quietly went back up the stairs wondering about her parent’s conversation. Maybe it’s time she got interested in boys. The following day Lacey was going to town with her three  best friends. Gemma was all excited when she arrived to Lacey’s at 1pm. She was jumping around the place telling Lacey.  Gemma was shouting at Lacey “I GOT THEM I GOT THEM, CAN YOU BELIVE IT LACEY I GOT THEM” “Gem calm down and tell me what did you get” laughing at her friends excitement. “I got tickets to see HIGH SIDE” shouting at Lacey again. Soon after Gemma explaining how she got tickets to her new favourite boy band.  Their two other best friends arrived they also shouted “YES GOING TO HIGH SIDE YES!!!” even though Lacey knew she had tickets to go to the concert also she couldn’t tell her friends as she was not meant to know she was getting the tickets for her birthday later that month.  Around half 1 pm. They had left Lacey’s house to go to town. Her friends were chatting amongst themselves, “Gem how did our mothers get our seats next to each other” Mitchie asked almost screaming. Sasha jumped in “My seat number in 20 B” before Sasha could finish her friends screamed “My seats are 22B and 23B OMG we next to each other” Gemma cried. “I’m 24B and 25B” Mitchie screamed. They had not noticed that Lacey had gone missing from the group as they got way too excited talking about their tickets to see High Side.  When her friends realised that Lacey wasn’t with them they walked back to where she was sitting. Lacey was sitting on a bench crying. Her friends came running over.  “What’s the matter?” Gemma asked really concerned “I really don’t want to go” Lacey cried. Sasha Gemma and Mitchie just looked at each other really worryingly. “Go where?” they chorused.  “To the concert to high side, my mother bought me tickets to go for my birthday but I’m not meant to know. I heard my parents talking the other night.” She continued. Gemma quietly asked Lacey “why don’t you want to go”? “I don’t like them like” Lacey was interrupted with a text message to Sasha. “Who’s that? Lacey looked at her friend smiling away to herself. “No one important” Sasha said very quickly. Gemma took the phone and ran down the street laughing reading the text message.  “Who’s James?” Gemma asked while trying to catch her breath after running away from Sasha trying to get her phone back.  Sasha blushed really badly whispering very quietly that her friends had to lean closer to hear what she was saying. “This guy from my dance class that I have the biggest crush on, he asked me for my number last night at practise and I gave it to him and he just text me asking me to go to the movies with him.”   Her friends including Lacey who had stopped crying to be excited for her friend. Gemma, Mitchie and Lacey all screamed “are you going to go??” “You have to go Sasha”. They all said together.  Sasha said in a very mature voice, “I’m going to say yes BUT on my terms" she replied giggling, while adding "that there will be no funny business but I might kiss him hehehehe”. “Since when have you like been interested in guys like that Sasha?” Lacey asked very curiously. “Since like forever, I really want a boyfriend for like forever” Sasha said Gemma and Mitchie agreed. Lacey look on nervously and simply said “I’ve never been interested in guys like that maybe I just not ready!” Lacey added “What does James look like?” they asked, Sasha looking at her phone with great concentration click click click    “Like this!” She said throwing her phone at her friends. There were a few oohs and aahhs but it was Lacey who said it first “Ooo he’s cute” she said it very nervously.  Her 3 best friends agreed. They went to a few shops and help Sasha to pick out new clothes for her date with James. Lacey also picked up a really nice cream dress with lace on it for her birthday. On the morning of her 14th birthday Lacey had came down for her breakfast. Just as her mother had placed her present next to her plate. Lacey knew what this was and she was scared to open it but she knew she had to. As she tore open the envelope she got very excited it was to tickets to the hottest  show, New Models Ireland she nearly died when she seen that it wasn’t tickets for High Side. She thanked her mother so much while asking “how did you know mam?” “I’m your mother I know everything, I also had help from Gemma and the girls”. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you mam, I couldn’t bring myself to tell you.” Lacey told her. After their chat Lacey went up to put on her new dress for the show later that night. She decided to also put a cream flower in her brown curly locks.  “Mom this is the best birthday present ever!” Lacey whispered to her mother while in the front row for the show. “I know this is what you wanted honey, I had bought you tickets for High Side thinking you would like them due to the girls liking them.” Her mother replied.  Later while watching the show a model called Rose stood out to her. Lacey wanted her to win the show. Lacey was also meeting the models at the end of the night, to get photos and autographs. When Lacey was standing around the models getting photos, she couldn’t help but losing taught while watching Rose constantly, even when she was getting a photo with her she couldn’t help but look at her. When Lacey was uploading the photos to her laptop, she couldn’t help but stare at the photo of her and Rose to the extent of her falling asleep and her laptop going dead. Gemma had called over the next day to wish her friend happy birthday as the concert for High Side had been on the same night as the show. Gemma couldn’t stop saying how cute troy was and how much she loved him. Lacey told Gemma she really liked Rose that she was so beautiful and she was happy she had won the contract. The girls decided to ring Sasha to see how her date went two nights before. “Hey Sash how did the date go?” Gemma asked, “Am it was awesome!” she shrieked, “Did you kiss him?” both Lacey and Gemma asked together, “Ammmm maybe!” she teased her friends, “TELL US!” Lacey demanded, “Hahahaha ok ok ok, I KISSED HIM” she screamed down the phone, “and I’m going to see him again next Saturday. “I’m so happy for you Sasha but I’m also so jealous!” Gemma said, “Don’t worry Gem you and Lace will find some guy soon, just so happens I found my guy first!”  Sasha said seriously to her friends, but also added “I have to go girls I have practise, and I’ll get to see James again, bye Gem tell Lace I said bye.” Lacey turned to her friend and says “So are you really jealous that Sash has a boyfriend then Gem?” “Yeah Lacey aren’t you?” Gem replied, “Yeah I guess I ‘am” Lacey said while thinking I’m not really sure if I am or not. Later that night Gemma had gone home and Lacey couldn’t help but look at the photo of her and Rose again.
