Hey Lovely Readers! So at first I was debating with myself over if I should put Arthur’s thoughts in his very own POV or in Tristan’s / Author’s POV.
As you already know, I asked my readers what your thoughts were on Arthur being present in Book 2 as a third main character, besides Lucas.
A dear reader suggested yes, and so I decided to put him in Book 2 more frequently. So I have also decided to give him his own POV, so you can view his thoughts and actions in his very own Point Of View.
So Enjoy this chapter, my loves! ~ Taylin J

Arthur’s POV:
After the call with my cousin, I became extremely curious about everything regarding their relationship.
It was weird that she would leave him. Not that I didn’t see it coming, because she never gave off any fondness to him or the entire situation at that.
But you had to be stupid to not sense that there was something going on between them. There had to be.
When I met Alina, I thought how much of a bad person I would be to bring her into his world. She didn’t deserve that after everything she had been through.
I knew from the very start of when I saw her, that she was innocent. Yes, they say looks can be deceiving, but I already knew then that she had nothing to do with anything regarding Tristan.
After I practically forced her to the party, I hadn’t heard or seen from her again. Mostly because of Tristan, and also because I had nothing to say to her that would change anything.
But when I finally did see her at the annual business party my uncle hosted. She was completely wasted and looked distressed.
I had already knew why, despite asking her what was wrong. It had to have been that she encountered with Xavier. But there was something else that was obviously on her mind.
And when she told me that her stay there was a complete rollercoaster, I knew things had changed between them.
Not only that, but when I left Tristan to deal with Alina and her drinking, I overheard their entire conversation. I was sure that things changed and they had developed a connection despite everything that happened in the past.
So when I called him and found that she had left him…I knew something was up. Also whatever letter she left for him, it had to have disclosed the reason in code.
So he just had to be dumb not to understand it.
Thats why I decided to offer the partnership with him. I would most probably be able to understand it more than he could, and figure it all out.
I went to sleep early and waited for the hours to pass so I could investigate this situation.
No doubt I was gonna figure all this out like a detective. It was my passion at heart to figure things out.
I just knew that I would definitely find a way to help my selfish cousin get his girl back, and maybe even befriend her.
But not only that, I couldn’t wait to figure out why she left him in the first place…..
************
The next morning, I got up bright and early and did my routine for the day, before getting dressed and having my breakfast.
Once done, I called Tristan to see when he wanted me to come. He answered on the second ring.
”Yes.” Tristan said immediately.
I rolled my eyes a little at his way of greeting me, but answered him quickly. He was a very impatient man, and even more so when it came to Alina.
”What time do yo--“ I couldn’t even finish my sentence before he cut me off and answered.
”Now. We’ve got no time to waste. The quicker this is done, we’ll all be happy.” Tristan said and cut the call the next moment.
”He is a very moody person.” I said aloud and chuckled lightly, before heading out to my all-time favorite Black Maserati Mc20.
I hopped in and started the engine, leaving my home and driving down to Tristan’s.
It took me almost two hours to make it there, because of the distance from where we stayed. I was literally an hour and something minutes away from Tristan. It took even longer because of traffic.
The moment I locked my car and walked up towards the door, the guards automatically let me in and I strolled inside.
Looking around, nothing changed here. It looked exactly the same from the last time I was here. Which was about almost a year ago.
I walked forward and went towards Tristan’s study room. I remembered it from when I came here before to discuss a personal matter with him.
I finally found myself in front of the huge wooden door of his study room, raising my hand to knock. I knew how much he hated when someone walked in without informing him first.
Before I could even knock, the door instantly opened and he was on the other side of it. Tristan was dressed in a black button-up shirt with a pair of casual matching pants.
He stood tall and firm, looking at me intensely and seriously. Despite him trying to hide his depression, I saw how lost he was without her. He looked like absolute s**t when he let his emotions get the best of him.
”Stop standing there lost and come in already.” He said and I walked in the next moment.
I sat down in the chair in front of his huge desk, looking at him. “So….I am here. Where do we start first?“ I asked him slowly.
”I brought the letter down from her room so you wouldn’t have to step foot inside her space.” I could sense the possession in his tone. It made me internally roll my eyes at how defensive and possessive he was about her.
”Yeah, okay. Hand it to me.” I said, and he did the next moment.
It was a long sheet of paper with cursive writing on it. There was a ~ line between two letters. I looked at the first one, but skipped it when I saw that it had nothing to do with Tristan.
I went down to the next letter on the paper and found it directed to Tristan. ‘Why couldn’t she at least give them separate letters?’ I wondered, but let it go and started to read the letter she left for him.
Once I finished, I was in complete shock. Someone would probably look at me and wonder what was so shocking about this letter….well I’ll tell you what was so shocking about it.
It was most definitely in code, I knew that from the beginning when I figured he couldn’t make out what she was saying. She was never one to speak gibberish.
But when I deciphered it and finally understood what she was trying to tell him, everything froze before me.
She was…..pregnant?
I wouldn‘t be able to believe it if someone told me that they actually hooked up and she was carrying his baby in result of it.
But when everything is before my eyes, it was hard to deny it. I couldn’t. Though my question was….why couldn’t Tristan see what she was trying to tell him?
I was probably the only one who knew about Tristan’s secret son and daughter, besides him and anyone who worked there on a daily basis.
I had been there to talk with him and accidentally ran into them. I was bewildered to see kids there, because I knew how much he despised them. He never wanted kids, fearful they would ruin his image.
I confronted him about the matter and he tried to lie his way out of it after figuring I wasn’t gonna give up on the conversation.
Though he couldn’t lie about it. He probably would have had a better chance at lying about little Amber, since they didn’t look much alike….but Preston was a literal replica of him.
I had asked them what they were doing in the mansion of Tristan’s, of course. They had told me about being siblings, and about their mother working here. They also said that they had the same father.
When I confronted Tristan of everything and he finally realized that he couldn’t lie about the truth when it was so obvious, he decided to tell me everything, but not without warning me not to disclose any of it to anyone.
But back to Alina…..I couldn’t believe that she could actually be pregnant.
I wasn’t going to assume anything yet, but the hints were all there. Also, there were too many hints not to see it.
I started to tell Tristan about what I could have figured out about her, but then stopped.
If it was true, I didn’t know how the news would affect him. Besides, I would want to confirm everything before saying a word. So I decided to keep my mouth shut for the time being.
”Well….did you figure anything out?” Tristan asked me.
I looked up at him and shook my head. “Not really….it’s not making much sense. You’re right….whatever reasoning was behind her sudden leave, we’ll figure it out.” I told him with confidence and pride.
And I would most definitely figure it all out. If she really was pregnant….this would change everything.
Not only that, but she could be in danger (Including the baby, if she really was pregnant)…..
”You better.” Tristan said back loudly and sighed.
I nodded. “Yes….I will, cousin.” I told him.
