I actually finished this chapter early, but it deleted the entire chapter….I was so angry that I had to start all over. But, I hope you enjoy this quick short chapter! Love you guys:) ❤️❤️
Tristan POV:
I was annoyed by the fact I had actually agreed to partner with Arthur on this….but I had become even more annoyed when he told me that he didn’t find anything out of the letter she left me. I just knew this was a waste of time.
I ruffled my hands through my hair and sighed, picking up the note left at her house and handing it to him.
”What about this one? Can you find something from this note, at least?” I said.
Arthur received it from my hand and looked at it weirdly. After a few moments, he sat the note back down and looked at me.
”Do you know anyone with the name L? Or an first name that starts with L?” He asked me.
I thought about it deeply, but couldn’t find any information stashed inside my brain, besides Sheryari Lontini.
His last name started with L, but he didn’t know anything. He couldn’t have….because I never shared any personal information with him, especially not the relationship I had with Alina.
”I mean….there‘s Sheryari Lontini, my business partner in Germany, but I beg to differ he has anything to do with this.” I told him.
”Well is there anyone else you might know?”
I shrugged, thinking about it. “Nope. Not really…..”
”I’m like so tired right now, I can’t think straight about anything, especially about this.” I told him.
”Well try.” He said back.
I narrowed my eyes on him. “This is a complete waste. Even if I did think of a name, it wouldn’t help anything.”
”Yes, it will. Even if it seems like it isn’t, or could be the smallest piece of help….we’ll need it.” Arthur said back.
I groaned loudly and looked at him. “I can’t think of anyone else, right now.“
”Fine then, how about I do my own search?” He suggested.
I shook my head. “Why should I let you do that? What could you find that I couldn’t?“ I asked him.
”You should let me do this, because you are of no help. You cannot find anything that’ll make it easier to find her….so let me try. And you’d be surprised what I could find.”
I looked at him weirdly, because he was acting weird. He couldn’t seriously find anything, if he couldn’t make sense of the note or the letter.
”If I were to let you search on your own….then this wouldn’t be partnership.”
He sighed. “Well, I’m sure that I can find something….just let me do my own search.”
I thought about it for a few moments before nodding to him. ”Fine, then…..you can try to find something on your own, but you better not come back empty handed. Otherwise, I swear I’ll break each and every bone in your body.”
He widened his eyes and nodded quickly. “No you wouldn‘t. I’m your cousin.”
I gave him a warning glare. “Don’t be too sure I wouldn’t do, because I most certainly will if you come back without answers.”
“Yes, I promise I’ll find something. How much time do I have?” Arthur asked.
I was sure that he couldn’t possibly find anything…..but then there was this uncertainty. What if he really could find something that will help me get Alina back?
I needed her back to me as soon as possible, and if this was the way, then so be it. So I decided to give him enough time despite my impatience for answers.
”You have ten days. That should be about a week and some days. After your time is up, I expect you to find something that’ll help.”
He nodded again. “Yes, I will.”
With that, he gave me a short stare as I got up and grabbed me a glass of whisky from the mini bar in the corner of my study room.
Once he left the room, I sat back down in my chair and brought the glass to my lips.
Letting the whisky control my emotions, I closed my eyes. Despite my strong efforts, I felt hopeless….though I still hoped that he would find something….anything, because I don’t know what will happen if I didn’t get her back to me.
