"i never knew that this year would be a year i would never forget". Sorry i should tell you who i am. Im maria delarosa black. "My life got turned upside down." " who would've known i would be attending a wake. That the wake i would be attending would be the one that would be the hardest thing i would be doing in my life. That this would leave me feeling empty inside."Let me start from the beginning.* It was the morning of my first day of freshman year and my little sister max's day of fourth grade. My mom noel came into our room to wake us up." morning my sweet girls" mom says and gives my sister a hug. "Morning mom." I get up and goes to the kitchen to eat breakfast mom and dad made for us. I go and hug my dad. He hugs me back. "So my princess are you ready for your first day of freshman year?" I look at my dad and smile. " Yes dad i am. im a bit nervous that they won't like me at all. I have never been one with luck dad. Always the one needing help because of being bullied." I sigh knowing that i should have kept that last part in so they don't worry about me. My dad goes and sits next to me. " Maria you are my brave heart. you are caring and kind. You always try to see the best in people no matter what. You're smart and are selfless. you rather help people than to see them struggling or hurting. Do not focus on the bad sweetie. Focus on what is ahead." After breakfast we went outside. There is where my mom started to take a lot of pictures of my sis and i. Then some alone and all the pictures you could think of for the first day of school she did. After pictures we got in and my dad drove us to school. I would be lying if i said i was fine. I wasn't. How could i be? I was about to go into the lion's den. I waited until i saw my friends and went up to them and hugged them. I was about to go into the school with my friends until max came running up to me and hugged me. She didn't let go. So i walked in with her and then kneeled down and gave her a huge hug. "maxie remember to be you. No matter what happens today you'll be amazing and will have an awesome first day." Maxie hugs me tighter. "Maria please can you walk me to my table?" When she call's me by the nickname she gave me when she was little. I smile and pick her up. "You always know what to say when you want your way lil sis." I bring her to where she needs to be. I then go see my friends and we talk about what happened to each other during the summer.
