It was now December and it was my favorite holiday. I didn't like the normal red and green theme. Mine was blue and silver.

I helped my mom and family put up the Christmas tree and decorate it. It came out beautiful and was a fun family bonding night activity. After putting the tree up we watched a Christmas movie and went to bed after that.

I woke up and got ready for school. I headed into the kitchen and made a cup of coffee and then headed out of the house to the bus stop. I was thinking about how the Christmas concert would be. I was scared and nervous. This would be my first highschool concert with all the other high classmates.

when I got to school I sat with my friends but still was in deep in thought about stuff. It was only at the end of second period that I realized that two periods past by. but my one teacher asked me to stay after class. I did and she started talking "maria how are you and your family doing? you seem out of the ordinary today." I looked at her and sat down " I'm ok ms.ava. Just the holidays are here and I'm trying to keep my grades up and keep it passing". I felt bad for lying and not telling the truth but I didn't want to make her feel bad for me.
