Sophia's POV
I groaned gently from sleep as I stretched my body lazily but my eyes went wide open immediately when I finally realized the situation I was in.
‘What is this? Did I get saved? What happened after the accident and…’ I was thinking but my thoughts got trailed off when I finally realized the room I was in and I was beyond flabbergasted.
“This room..” I mumbled and I trailed off when I realized what happened.
The room wasn't a hospital room? Not a lab where I was getting experimented on for being a woman who got hit after she caught her husband cheating but it was something else.
“Why am I in this room? I shouldn't be here!” I bellowed and I rushed out of my bed toward the calendar and quickly skipped through it.
“What! It's the year 20XX!” I say and I gasped when the realization sets in. I am back in my old room and this year…I wasn't married yet I have even met my mate which means I went back in time.
My wish was granted! I was reborn!
“Ahhh!” I screamed in excitement and I didn't know when I slumped to the ground and tears formed in my eyes. I didn't know I could get lucky and be granted a second chance at life.
“This is real, right? I am really back!” I beamed and I rushed to the mirror to check myself out and I was in love with the girl I saw in the mirror.
Her face was radiant with a youthful air around but everything went down the drain when I got myself entangled with Darren Nicklaus but this life I am not going to get tricked by the likes of him.
“Let’s get your life back, Sophia, and trample over everyone that has made you miserable,” I made a resolution and my eyes trailed off to a princess blue gown and my eyes twitched remembering what day it was but my thoughts were broken into as my stepsister badged into the room.
“Dad says that you should get prepared for the party and please get dressed nicely,” she says grumpily and I nod my head finally getting it.
That dress was the dress I wore to the ball where I met Darren and this night was the night that my life changed..the night that I met him.
“I don't even know why you are going to that party you are just an ugly duckling that should be hidden away,” my step-sister says grumpily, I scoffed hearing her words and that was the exact words she spewed at me in my past life which I only beamed her a harmless smile, but this life she was not going to get lucky.
“Ugly duckling? Are you sure you are not referring to yourself?” I turned around to look at her and she was surprised at my words like she didn't believe I could mutter such words at her.
“What is wrong with you? I am going to tell Mom…” she was saying but I pushed her out of my door before I decided to say my piece. I never got to talk back to her thinking that we were sisters and that was her way of sharing love but now I know better.
“First, don't ever raise your voice at me. I am your elder and I command your respect and second, this is my room whenever you want to come in, you knock, am I clear on that?” I asked and she nodded her head dumbly not believing that I could talk to her like that, I scoffed knowing that was just the beginning.
I was going to make sure I didn't get trampled over in this life. If the moon goddess could grant me a second chance at life then I see no reason to blow it away.
I knew that I couldn't miss the party because my father, Alpha Williams, was the one who holds socializing with people in high esteem, and since I couldn't miss the party I decided to come up with a plan.
“You are back to the day your misery started but I am sure that you are not going to let history repeat itself, right?” I mumbled looking at the mirror and my eyes darkened as I exuded a dangerous aura.
I am going to be in control of my life and make sure that no one toys with me in this life. I am going to be the game master, and definitely not something they play with.
After getting dressed in a lilac cocktail dress I stepped out of my room and bumped into my father, who was ready to come and get me.
“Oh my princess!” he beamed seeing me but I hugged him immediately because I missed him.
In my past life, he died not long after I got married to Darren and I didn't even get to pay my last respects because I was in town, now I regret all my actions but now I am going to right my wrong.
“What is wrong with you? Why are you acting so strange?” my father asked after I disengaged from the hug but I just smiled telling him that I was fine, then my stepmother's voice came from behind me and I snarled.
“Why are you not wearing the dress that I picked?” she asked and I sighed hearing that. The dress she picked was the one I wore to the function where I met my mate so I was trying to change my fate by first changing my dress.
I gave her a flimsy excuse about the clothes being tight and since my father was already rushing out of the house and I smiled seeing I was able to get out of her questions this time.
“I don't want Mother to be in charge of my wardrobe again,” I told my father and he was surprised because I knew he remembered me adoring the woman but now I don't want that.
I decided to just stay outside the party and not go in to socialize because that was when my nemesis began. I found my mate there.
“We should just wait out here Elsa, we don't want to run into that scum and repeat that miserable cycle again, we have to change our life this time around and they firmly,” I mumbled but noticed that there was a movement behind the garden at the other side and I decided to go.
I do not know why my body was itching to go take a look but I was relaxed since I knew nothing bad was going to happen and since I don't remember it from my past life I knew it wasn't going to affect this life.
“What is this? Nothing is here,” I mumbled looking at the empty garden then I felt Elsa uneasy about something, I wasn't ready to pry but a voice behind me shocked me to the bones.
“What are you looking for, Miss!” I heard the most melodious voice I have ever heard asked and when I turned the sight of the person I saw shocked me and I lost my balance when I stepped backward.
I was waiting for my drastic fall but I felt a strong arm wrapped around my waist, I was staring intensely into the face of that man who looked strangely familiar but Elsa's next word left me dumbfounded.
‘Mate!’ she purred and my breath hitched hearing that.
What? Mate? How is that possible?
