Su Qin hadn't expected that the person coming in would be the old principal.
He quickly stood up to greet the old man, knowing he needed to be respectful in his presence.
"Old principal, why are you here?" Su Qin asked with confusion.
The old principal smiled and looked kindly at Su Qin, showing no signs of arrogance. He gestured for Su Qin to sit down and relax.
"It's good for young people to have character and personality. Being too crafty and calculating, like some of us old folks, can be quite dull. However, there should be some self-control at times. After all, your life is different from ours," the old principal casually mentioned while sitting down, making it evident that he was referring to the conflict between Su Qin and the instructor.
Su Qin clearly understood what the old principal was getting at, and he also sensed an underlying message. He furrowed his brows and asked, "Old principal, do you know me?"
"Your grandfather is a philanthropist with a strong sense of patriotism. Over the years, he has supported many schools in the country. I've known him for thirty years. Considering your family's significant support to Chang'an University, how could I, as the principal, not know you're here?" The old principal spoke with a friendly smile, as if he were having a casual chat with a younger acquaintance.
At this point, Su Qin felt somewhat embarrassed and said, "Old principal, I didn't expect this matter to trouble you tonight."
"This is a minor matter, nothing to be troubled about. I would have met you sooner or later. Tonight was just a fortunate coincidence. I've already informed Dean Sun on the university side. If you encounter any troubles in the future, you can ask him for help, but try not to get into trouble if possible," the old principal continued with a cheerful demeanor.
Su Qin quickly expressed his gratitude but had no intention of bothering the old principal unless it was absolutely necessary.
As the time was getting late, the old principal slowly stood up and said, "It's getting late; I should head back. Young people like you should handle your own affairs. If you have the time, come over for dinner sometime and chat with an old man like me."
Su Qin nodded in agreement and politely escorted the old principal out of the office.
Shortly after, Dean Sun entered the room with the instructor. The instructor shook Su Qin's hand and sincerely apologized, "Su, what happened tonight was my fault. I apologize to you. I'm sorry."
Su Qin hadn't taken the matter seriously, especially considering the presence of the old principal.
Dean Sun, familiar with Su Qin, offered a reassuring smile, and the issue was resolved.
Su Qin didn't linger and left after bidding farewell to Dean Sun.
Once Su Qin left, the instructor's expression immediately soured, clearly still not satisfied. He apologized only because Dean Sun wanted to downplay the incident.
He couldn't comprehend why Dean Sun was siding with this freshman.
Seeing the instructor's bewildered look, Dean Sun became irritated.
"What's the matter, still not satisfied? Think the university should take disciplinary action against him? Do you know why our university's lab building is called Su Building? It was named after his grandfather!"
The instructor was left speechless by Dean Sun's words and chose not to respond.
After leaving the administrative building, Su Qin wondered how the old principal had learned about his identity.
Based on the old principal's words, it seemed that his grandfather had informed him. Su Qin decided he needed to confirm this later.
Suddenly, without paying much attention to the path ahead, Su Qin collided with someone at the corner.
"Ah..."
He heard a cry and noticed a female student lying on the ground.
Su Qin cursed himself for his carelessness and quickly bent down to ask, "Are you alright, classmate?"
As this female classmate slowly turned her head, her exquisite eyebrows furrowed while looking at Su Qin.
Su Qin had seen beautiful women before, but this particular female classmate still managed to astonish him.
If I had to describe it in words, it would be "elegantly exceptional."
Her slim, faded jeans, a simple pure white short-sleeved shirt, and jet-black, silky hair held together with a red ribbon in the middle. However, it was her crystal-clear gaze that involuntarily tugged at one's heartstrings.
The intense scrutiny from Su Qin left the beautiful woman feeling a bit bashful, her face turning red as she struggled to get up without uttering a word.
Only at this moment did Su Qin come to his senses and apologized once more, "Classmate, I'm truly sorry, it's entirely my fault for not watching where I was going."
Despite the pain, the beautiful woman replied, "No problem."
"Do you need me to accompany you to the school infirmary?" Su Qin inquired, his brow furrowing.
She smiled, shook her head, and continued limping forward without saying another word.
"What a determined young lady," Su Qin mused, a blend of sympathy and self-reproach in his tone as he shook his head and sighed.
"Ah!"
The girl stumbled once more, clutching her ankle, her eyes welling up with tears.
Su Qin hurried over and, without hesitation, lifted her up in a princess carry before dashing towards the school infirmary.
And so, everyone witnessed this scene...
On the first day of the school year, a certain male student was seen sprinting across the campus with his female classmate in his arms.
It couldn't help but make one appreciate the vitality of youth.
Most importantly, quite a few people soon discovered that the stunning female classmate was none other than the campus beauty, Lin Xi!
Before long, the Chang'an University campus forum was buzzing with excitement.
However, our unwitting protagonist, waiting in the hospital corridor, remained oblivious to the identity of this enigmatic female classmate.
