When the portal closed I was in some place hot. I was in a treed area but there weren’t many trees around. I can camp here for tonight and get a fresh start early tomorrow. I had a few MRE’s with me in my bag. The school had a bunch of them in case of attack and the students couldn’t get out. I tried to use magic to warm it but all of my magic was gone. So I had to eat it cold, shepherds pie rat packs were bad enough warm but cold, just wrong.
I have some cash in my bag to get some supplies but sleeping outside in human form is not fun. As the night went on it got a lot colder. My blanket wasn’t keeping me warm.
“If we shift I will be warm, no one will find us in this patch of forest. Who would come here it’s so small.” Nova huffed she knew she couldn’t run.
