Find Her, Find her now

Samantha POV In a couple of minutes, Mom composed herself. She must have mind-linked Uncle Koa and Aunt Ria because they walked through the door. “Your Majesties.” They said in unison. “I know the dragons are looking for Todd but have them look for Alicia too.” They bowed to Mom and left. Next thing my cousin Ivan, Aunt Angelica, Uncle Liam and Aunt Moria came in. My mother was not in a good mood. “I want every witch, wizard, fae and vampire looking for my daughter and I want it done now.” My mother demands it done. They nodded and left. “Where is your brother?” Mom growled. I think momma Elle is coming out because she can’t find her pup. “I’m here your Majesty.” I guess it was Elle I could see the eye colour this was definitely Maverick. “Find her now.” She screeched. “My niece you know it’s not that simple,” Maverick explained to Elle. Weirdly, Jake is mom’s son but Elle is Maverick’s niece. Plus the fact Helios is mom’s great great grandfather and he’s also Maverick’s father. It’s a long story. “Don’t play dumb with me Maverick you saw an entire war when Jake was three you can find one single person.” Elle snapped. “Easy niece you may be Queen but I’m still your uncle and as much of a Demigod as Finn is.” Maverick glared at my mother. “I will give you a pass as Nova is missing. As you know I see two paths. One is good one is not so good it depends on your child’s decision. One will bring her a lifetime of happiness, the other will bring us all pain we will lose her and the gods will make sure her spirit is well taken care of in the afterlife.” “My daughter will not die,” Mom screamed at him Dad just stood behind her, holding her. “If you are that convinced then she will be gone for a bit longer for you but not too long. She will have become a better person and a great Queen when the time comes it will be a little rocky as she’s processing some choices in her life. And before you ask no I don’t know what it is or where she is. All I see is a small pack and something special to guide her and something will lead Samantha to her.” Maverick foretold and with that, he gave Jake back control. With that Dad let go of Mom and Jake hugged her. “We will find her mom it will be okay. I will search every pack in the world if I have to.” “Helios.” Mom pulled away from Jake as she saw the god in front of her. “Where is she?” “Granddaughter I can tell you she’s safe for now. But she needs to go on this journey to become who she is supposed to be.” Helios explained. With that, Mom went up. “Who she is supposed to be is my daughter. She is supposed to be where I know she is so I can protect her. She has a huge target on her because of who she is. She has no guards. Only her wolf. Why did I take their powers I need to find her.” Tears started streaming down Mom’s face again. “Granddaughter I promise I will look out for her but this needs to happen.” The sun god pulled Mom in for a hug. He kissed her forehead. “I will never hurt you, Alex. Your children have been my second chance to show my children how much I love them. I love my grandchildren I’m not going to see them get hurt.” “I’m going to hold you to that; so what am I going to do in the meantime, knit.” Mom snapped. I saw Grandpa Helios' eyes flicker. “What you do is irrelevant, but she has to do this.” He growls at her. Mom knows he doesn’t like to be disrespected, but at this point, she doesn’t care. The way he spoke also pissed off my Dad as the lightning flashed in his eyes. “Easy son of Zeus you don’t want to start anything with me Demigod or Daddy will have to save you again.” “Let’s do it man to man no powers then let’s see who needs daddy.” My Dad steps up to Helios. My Dad is a very strong man even before all of what happened to him and for the most part, he rarely uses them now unless he’s training up. “That’s enough.” The deep voice bellows through the room. “Helios you are only making it worse.” Zeus glares at the god. “Son I know you don’t want to hear it but Helios is right, this journey has to happen. Look at what I did to protect you what do you think I will do for my granddaughter?” At this point, I was getting upset. “You all want to sit and argue fine but I’m going to find my sister.” I go to leave. My Mom’s magic blocks me. “I have lost one daughter today I’m not losing another.” I walk over to my mother and take her hand. “Mom you are not going to lose me I will report to you and Dad, but I have to find her. “You know I can’t give you back your abilities.” My mom looks at the two gods in the room. “The spell takes them away they have to be earned back,” Mom explains. “Mom Joy is a very strong wolf, I will be okay.” I give her a tight smile. “What if you change back you will have no guards, you will have a huge target on you. You are an heir to the kingdom, not to mention how all the kingdoms and the gods would be affected if something happened to you.” You could hear the worry in Mom’s voice. “She will be fine Alex.” Helios tries to reassure her. “Easy for you to say you’re not sending your daughter out into the world unprotected.” Mom again snapped at Helios. Then Mom looks at Zeus. “Haven’t you put me through enough loss and heartache in this life already?” Mom screeched. Dad went and held her in his arms trying to calm her down. I don’t really know Mom's story only what Jake has told us, but it had to be something horrible I have never seen my mom like this. Dad is just keeping her as close as he can without picking her up. I know this is not the time to think of this but to see how they love each other and are always there for one another makes me hope I have that same kind of bond with my mate. There’s nothing they won’t do for each other. A soft woman’s voice now fills the room. “She will be alright my child.” “Great now the moon goddess is telling me it’s going to be okay. Sorry, Auntie if I don’t believe you.” Mom growls at her. Mom and Selene have a touchy relationship but they do love each other. “My niece, do you still believe I’m that cruel? I know Elle is telling you right now not to say what you’re saying but seriously I thought we have come so much farther than this.” Selene sighed. “No offence there are still a lot of shitty things you do to people.” Mom said shaking her head. “I only do bad things to those who deserve it and some who will have a much better life but won’t believe what they can and will become. But also some of the things that happen I cannot change. Everyone has free will to do so as they please; right or wrong.” Selene explains. Selene then turns to me. “Samantha and Joy will be fine. You also need to do this for your own growth. You and your sister have been hard for me to get through to; even worse than your mother, human and wolf. Once you see clearly everything will fall into place. Be warned though not everyone is good on your journey you must know who to stay away from, who to help and those to help you.” “See Mom I will be fine everyone said so.” Trying my best for my mom to see reason but when she’s stubborn like this it’s hard for her too. She and Alicia are more alike than either one of them cares to admit. “I don’t trust either one of them Samantha, I don’t want what happened to me to happen to you why is that so hard for everyone to understand? Yes, the last almost twenty years have been amazing.” She beams at Dad. They had a rocky start but they love each other above anything except us and sometimes I wonder. They have a bond only death can break. “But the first twenty-two not so much.” “She will be okay.” My Dad gives me a tight smile and looks at my mother. “If you don’t trust them trust me.” He looks my mother in the eyes. I can tell they are mind-linking each other. “That’s Daddy Finn’s eyes. It’s bad when they bring out Daddy Finn to charm Mom.” Joy said. She’s been pretty quiet throughout this. “I know but they will get through to Mom,” I tell Joy and she retreats. “I hope you are right.” I hear Mom say to Dad. Dad looks at me. “You can do this but I want a sit rep every eight hours.” He hugs me and kisses my forehead. “Be careful my little sprite. Joy keep your guard up all the time.” Joy comes through and nods at Dad. Mom comes over. “I don’t like this but you are not a child anymore. Take care of yourself and make sure if you are in trouble you link right away.” Mom pulls me into a bone-crushing hug. I take out a backpack and Mom takes it. With a chant and a flick of the wrist, I see the magic flowing into the bag. It’s like a Mary Poppins carpet bag everything is in there that I need. I just threw a couple of articles of clothes in there. “So you don’t have to put up the tent I have enchanted it. All you need to do is pull the string and it will open and there is a small red clasp about 2 feet from the zipper. Clasp it together and it will collapse again. I also have a protection spell placed on it so rogues are less of a worry at night when you sleep.” Mom trying to do everything she possibly can to make sure I’m safe. I thank my mom again and say goodbye to everyone and head out to look for my sister. If she’s walking herself she can’t be that far but if Nova was running that’s a whole other problem. I walk outside the school being who I am I have a far greater sense of smell than a normal wolf. The Lycan gene has been passed down to all of us so in greater danger I can turn into my Lycan form and take on any danger that arises. Plus the bond between the five of us is like a homing beacon if we are close we will find each other. Jake is a little different than a beacon if we call him he will find us instantly. Once I leave the school grounds I head northwest is the way her scent is leading me that way. It’s getting fainter. I guess Nova is doing the running. “Ready for a run?” I asked Joy She didn’t even answer she just shifted right there. “Those were good clothes you know.” I scoffed as she started running. “My sister needs me no time to worry about clothes.” Joy keeps running. All I can see is a blur as Joy is running so fast. She’s jumping and dodging all over the place. We have been running now for three hours and she hasn’t stopped yet. She sees a stream and finally stops for a drink. “It’s about time I was getting dizzy,” I say to Joy. “Stop trying to see it from your perspective and look at it through mine,” Joy tells me. As Joy was drinking I could hear shouting from about 1000 yards away. Joy moves stealthily through the forest I’m about 500 yards away. All I heard as I stopped was a man’s voice shouting. “Not you what the f**k was the moon goddess thinking. Why would she put me with an ugly fat pig like you? ” I know that voice and I knew this couldn’t be good. When I get to the tree line I see them in an open field. This is really not going to be good I shift back and grab my clothes, I look back out and things have escalated way faster than I thought. When I heard those words I burst out of the woods into the field. The bastard was smirking at me.
