X - Where Choices Lead
Matt awoke with a start. He opened his eyes and stared at the bedroom ceiling. Out in the kitchen, he could hear his brother getting ready for work. The scent of coffee hung in the air and Mark made a lot of noise as he shuffled across the floor. Unsettled by the noise, Matt hoped his brother would be leaving very soon.
He lifted his head and glanced at the clock. It was still too early for a Saturday. Now that he was working five days a week at his father’s dealership, Matt cherished his weekends and the opportunity to catch up on sleep. He’d doze off again once his brother departed.
