XIV - A Scare
Pausing in front of her computer, Sarah decided to check her e-mail before cleaning the kitchen. The men were due back soon and she preferred to present a tidy apartment when they came home from a game. That was the only time it was clean, too.
She discovered a message from Lori. Her friend was enjoying her post-Olympics life and taking advantage of all the new opportunities. There were three speaking engagements before the end of October and Lori sounded excited about her trip to Texas. Sarah continued to marvel at the changes in her once shy friend. Lori would never have volunteered to speak in front of a crowd of people when they were teenagers.
Turning off her computer, Sarah went to unload the dishwasher before Matt and Mike returned. They were gone every other weeken
