I really liked doing this pantomime and was looking forward to doing it. The song was great, and Gumps was perfect as the skinny little beatnik bongo player. I was fired up and ready to go. We were directed to move in front of the cameras, and the record started. During our performance, our eyes met, and we grinned. We were enjoying our bit and doing it well. Everything was copasetic. When we finished, there was a loud applause from two areas. I was surprised as I looked out toward the audience, and then to my right, where I saw a bleacher section was set up near the sound booth. There were about sixty people in the bleacher seats; most of them were young teenage girls. They were cheering and waving at us as we walked off the stage.
We stood and watched the next act, who was a magician. G
