CHAPTER 15 I stayed at Rag’s apartment for another week. I really didn’t want to leave. I liked living in California, and I’d miss Monique, Rags and my other friends. I had no idea what I was going to be doing, in Michigan, for the next two months. The only reason to go home was to spend some time with my parents and grandpa. Well, there was another reason. I was facing an important but difficult task. I needed to convince my parents to let me go back to California, to attend school at Valley College. It was midnight when Monique and Rags drove me to the Los Angeles airport, as I was on a redeye flight to Chicago. The trip on United Air Lines, four engine prop plane, was long and boring.
