I took my eyes off the diary after reading again for the 20th time this week, and gazed out the window, the moon lit up the landscape giving a bleak reminder of the emptiness within me. Twenty times I'd revisited that fateful day, and still, the pain felt like an open wound refusing to close up . Living it all over again to wipe off my pain To have me immunized against it all But I couldn't overcome it with revisits Or maybe the visits themselves are what that's stopping me from overcoming this trauma it's self. Helpless My thoughts drifted to Riven, his bright smile and adventurous spirit now lost forever. The pack's elders said his fate was sealed, a sacrifice to the ancient powers that slumbered beneath the ruins or even a threat to our lineage which I couldn't guess out, but the look in their gazes told me they are anything but playing jokes I rose from my chair, the diary slipping to the floor. The room seemed to close in around me, suffocating me with memories or was it the deep scent of blood from the fallen diary that was suffocating? I could vividly remember how I bit my own finger and had it bleed to use as ink to write out this horror of a tale that I Soo much found dear to me. With a heavy heart, I walked to the window and pushed it open, letting the crisp night air fill my lungs. The pack lands stretched before me, shrouded in darkness. A gentle breeze carried whispers of the past, reminding me of Riven's laughter, his determination, and our unbreakable bond. I.. crave him. My gaze wandered to the forest, where the ruins lay hidden. Secrets and mysteries waited within those ancient walls, whispers of a prophecy that bound our pack's fate to the Blood-Kin's. How laughable! To think some of the elders would still believe in some mumbo jumbo of the past How disappointing I sighed and then.. A shiver ran down my spine. The diary's words echoed in my mind once more : "And this was my last moment with Riven Moon, our Last Alpha of Frost moon pack." Teardrops in my eyes I steeled myself and made a vow to bring back the Alpha of Frost moon,Riven back and have him take back is role as Alpha again before we go ahead and take over Lycan Royal rank like we've always wanted. Like he always wanted…. It's time I amass the pack’s best betas to help on the conquest to explore the ruin and return my beloved mate home. The night air seemed to whisper a response: "The journey begins." As it buzzes to the tunes of a lonely lover All left alone I stepped into the darkness, ready to face whatever lay ahead. Planning out a way to have my sorrows washed of me clean Howls and wild calls could be held frequently on a part of this Wild civilization Turning to the part where all the noise is coming from with echoes of stumps “It's starting..” I said my eyes trailing of in sadness before I willed myself and cleared the disturbance in my heart Elder Kael stormed into the chamber, his face reddened with rage. "Sylvania! You think you're above the law?" he bellowed. I stood calmly, though taken aback by his confrontational tone. "Elder Kael, I'm preparing for departure—" "Silence!" he thundered, slamming his fist on the table. "You've not been cleared of suspicion, so follow me and let's tear off that mask of innocence.” He spat ,while moving forward in challenge”You're not as innocent as you seem, you know" I remained composed, despite his anger. "Elder Kael, I assure you—" "No assurances, Sylvania!" he spat, eyes blazing. "You'll face further scrutiny. I won't let you deceive us." Ahh,why are they doing this..? Why don't they trust me Riven why did you leave Me to bear the price of our sins ….are you even alive Or do you plan to die and have me suffer Is this…revenge… As I sobbed to my self attempting to try and reason with the Elder."Elder Kael, please—" "Enough!" he roared, cutting me off. "You'll not tidy up here. Leave now. Your presence soils our chambers." His verbal assault stunned me and crushed my already broken pieces of emotion.I put myself to together as I get set to leave for the Wolf Elders court. Shivering..oh Riven Do return..I miss you My mind was in turmoils as I besieged on my lover to return in hopes that magic would bring my words some testimony. Stepping out of my shelter Elder Thorne approached, his expression solemn. "Luna, forgive Elder Kael's outburst. To further verify your innocence, you'll undergo the Holy Blood Pool trial." I nodded in understanding.not taking any of their craps to heart tho "The Holy Blood Pool will reveal your heart's truth," Elder Thorne explained, leading me to the hidden chamber. A pool of crimson liquid glimmered in the center – the Holy Blood Pool. "This sacred blood, blessed by our ancestors, will protect the innocent and condemn the guilty," Elder Thorne continued. "If you're pure of heart, the pool will spare you. But if malice or deceit resides within, you'll be consumed." I steeled myself, knowing my innocence would prevail. "I'm ready, Elder Thorne." With steady steps, I approached the pool. The elders watched, their eyes fixed on me. I stepped into the Holy Blood Pool, feeling the warm liquid envelop my feet, ankles and legs. As I waded deeper, the blood rose to my waist, then shoulders. With a deep breath, I submerged myself, the blood covering my head. I remained still, allowing the pool's sacred energy to assess my heart. Moments passed. The blood began to churn, releasing a faint glow. The light intensified, illuminating my submerged form. Suddenly, the pool's energy surged. I felt myself being lifted upward. The blood expelled me, and I emerged, unscathed and dry. The elders gasped, amazed. Elder Thorne beamed with conviction. "Luna, the Holy Blood Pool declares your innocence! You've proven your heart is pure." Ryker, the tracker, stepped forward. "Elder Thorne, I apologize for my earlier accusation. My evidence must have been misinterpreted." Elder Thorne nodded. "Ryker, your diligence is valued. However, the Holy Blood Pool's verdict supersedes all doubt. Luna, you're cleared of suspicion." The Wolf Courts erupted in relieved murmurs. My name was cleared. But amidst the celebration, a whisper caught my ear: "The true culprit remains hidden..." The Wolf Courts gathered again, addressing Riven's disappearance. Elder Thorne led the discussion. "Brothers and sisters, our pack's stability hinges on unity. Without Alpha Riven's protection, rival packs may exploit our weakness." Elder Kael growled, "We must assert dominance, show strength." Ryker countered, "But, Elder Kael, our priority should be uncovering Alpha Riven's fate and ensuring the pack's safety." I proposed, "Let's focus on finding Alpha Riven. His return will restore balance." Elder Thorne nodded. "Luna's right. We must find our Alpha." Elder Thorne held the Moon Lamp, its soft glow illuminating the chamber. "Moon Lamp, reveals the trail of darkness leading to Alpha Riven's disappearance." The Moon Lamp's glow intensified, but it remained silent. Elder Kael's frustration resurfaced. "Why doesn't it respond?!" Elder Thorne's expression turned contemplative. "The Moon Lamp's silence indicates one of four possibilities: Alpha Riven remains alive or the culprit has left our clan even possible for Alpha Riven's demise was natural or self-inflicted. The culprit’s darkness is too profound, shielding their identity." Ryker frowned. "But what about the evidence I found?" Elder Thorne nodded. "Ryker, your findings may still be relevant, but the Moon Lamp's silence suggests a more complex truth." I pondered the implications. "Could Alpha Riven's disappearance be a voluntary departure?" Could he have left because of me? Is he unsatisfied..? For once I felt unsafe and terrified. Elder Thorne's eyes narrowed. "We cannot rule it out. We must broaden our investigation, considering all possibilities." As the meeting concluded, I approached Elder Thorne. "Elder Thorne, may I speak with you privately?" while was busy discussing my thoughts with Elder Thorne I could hear the murmurs of the other elders and from the way they held their tone and acted all secretive I knew it was anything but good "So, you wanted to see me" Elder Thorne said clearly disturbed tho he made no attempt to leave And this was why I chose him instead. Though he was wasn't pleased with me he still chose to abide as he was with a heart of justice The Grand elder! A post that even exceeds the Packs Mysthic —Elder Lyra ... "I wanted to share something about the ruin we explored together and some important tips Go on" he said "Firstly ...I do hope you keep the fact of the ruin being a blood-kin's a sacred secret.. " Blood what! You dare enter into the forbidden areas that have been set as a stay off zone and yet you speak of secrets" Elder Thorne roared As is outburst even attract a few elders who later went about their discussion. Though it wasn't a common thing for The Grand Elder to lose is temper but it seems the Elders are pretty into whatever they are discussing that they refuse to pay heed to these... "Please Keep it ,a secret please Riven made me do it, you know how much I love him I couldn't resist my own mates words. I didn't want to! but I couldn't have him go all by himself right? I said in panic As I knew how severe it would be for me if my case was taken up. I was almost regretting my choice when Grand Elder calmed down "Go on" He said I thought I could even see disappointment in his gaze Feeling even more nervous "We went to the ruins by nightfall as we... I then narrate all the event that transpired While adding "since he was drawn in a whirlpool...he probably got lost in the current and was taken somewhere far"I said in quakes and shivers as I anxiously poured out all my speculations "Hmm, let me see what I can do" Elder Thorne said while in deep contemplation his gaze even falling close to his shoes as he pulled on his beards... "Elder Thorne, we have finally found a solution to all this troublesome Streak of problems"An elder called out towards our side Ahh,May I know this solution that you speak of Elder Thian?" Elder Thorne said as he tilted His head in one part being confused the other curiosity attached with a touch of hope "We the elder have decided.."Elder Thian said before swallowing and looking at a few Elders for confirmation before proceeding in which a few actually signaled or nodded “That we shall have... a new Alpha..
