Episode1
Dear Diary,
On this day, Riven and I ventured into the forbidden Ruins of the Blood-Kin. The air is thick with an eerie and gloomy energy.
I could feel the weight of ancient secrets buried beneath the rubble with heavy blood scents even now frightening my strong sense of smell as a wolf-kin.
“How great even the stench is unbearable”I said complaining to my power lusting mate
“Well, it's just stench not battle, better than to face a bunch of blood sucking freaks right?”Riven chuckled out
“Hm”I nodded
“But we can't be careless, this place gives me the creeps”I said , shivering in obvious fear
“There's a reason for lyra..to”I was about breaking it to Riven when he turned to me with dissatisfaction drawn over his face
What”I asked, confused
Don't speak of that traitorous wench again, especially while we are on a scary uncomfortable conquest like the present one,ok?”
Ok”I said dazed by his eyes,he…
He sure is a gorgeous mate in all being.
Lyra, our pack's elder warned us against exploring these ruins, but Riven's curiosity and my own sense of adventure proved too great to resist he even persuaded her to join is cohort but she refused. Causing Riven to detest lyra and even label her a traitor but he couldn't hurt an elder unlawfully so he could only hold a grudge
Only I know how much Riven had hoped for lyra to help us through the ruins.
Who needs her,not that I can't be safe even without a wolf-kin mysthic of the third tier in a forgetten ruin…I know minor about..”was what I thought I hear him grumble, the last part would definitely posses self doubt and anxiousness if it really did
Moving through another arc,as we stumble from curves to corner. Alot of weird items were found in eerie cobwebs.
As we navigate the crumbling structures of old antiques Riven attempted to lighten the mood.
"Imagine the Blood-Kin warriors storming through these halls, the war must have been very exciting then" Riven said, his voice filled with excitement as he lightly rubbed a wall surface. "Their roars echoing off the walls.oh my,scary!"
Rolling my eyes, smiling despite the urge to ditch and run from these Demon's maw of a ruin. "You seem to be enjoying this,I wonder if you can keep that up if the great dracula haven't died before our generation. I bet your fearless comedy might be more moving then"
Riven laughed awkwardly. "What's not to enjoy? Mystery, danger, ancient secrets...it's like a treasure hunt but dracula…that freak is too much of a trouble"
His enthusiasm was infectious, but I couldn't shake the feeling of unease while enjoying the brave wolf stammer at the mention of an Old nightmare.
We reached a region that was pretty dark with Coffins placed like those Egypt mummies. Stepping forward,a sudden light was lit and then the process of light getting lit around us continued
As I turned to study our environment, I noticed some specifics
Firstly, beneath our feet was a circle which seems a lot like a magic circle according to some of lyra teachings
And then there was also echoes of
whispers in a supposed to be dead hall of an extinct race.
And…the flames , all of the flames..are blood curdling red.
I took a step back in fear
"This feels wrong, Riven," I whispered, my instincts screaming warning.
“I think we should go” I swallowed
Riven's grin faltered, and he placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder . "We'll be fine, Sylvania. We're in this together and we would get over it same way"he said before paying keen attention to the environment even sniffing out once a while
My instincts were screaming danger and asking me to leave but my mate himself must have felt the same and chose to stay so why couldn't I?
We turned to a corner next to the center, and a weathered stone pedestal came into view. Upon it rested a leather-bound tome, adorned with strange symbols that seemed to shift in the fading light.
"Ah, the Chronicles of Blood-Kin," Riven said, his eyes gleaming. "Our pack's history, hidden in plain sight. Well well, here comes my path to Lycanthropical Asura!"
I watched bitterly as he approached the tome, as smiled in dismay, we are already here
Can't stop him. I couldn't help but be curious too
Would he really grow stronger how powerful,to what end
As we approached the pedestal, the air thickened with anticipation.
"Do you think it's true?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "The Blood-Kin prophecy?"
Riven's smile returned, and he winked. "Only one way to find out."
With a swift motion, Riven pulled the book from the pedestal. The ground trembled beneath our feet as ancient machinery roared to life. The walls began to shake, and the air filled with the scent of decay
As chips of stones kept falling off the skies.
"Riven, we have to leave?" I cried, an alarm rising within me.
"Run, Sylvania!" he yelled, shoving me away from the chaos.
A whirlpool erupted, its center churning with an otherworldly energy that swallowed Riven that stood at its edge, his eyes locked onto mine before he was fully devoured.
"Riven, no!" I screamed”No no no”
I ran in his direction was about being swallowed along too but a large chump of the hall Landed between us and I was a step from being squashed
Fear gripped me…and I ran
Diary I ran out to save my life ditching is for darkness to devour, I still regret till the present moment
I turned to check for any presence
But he wasn't anywhere to be found, consumed by the swirling darkness of the whirlpool. I turned and continued with my escape as I wiped my tears with my royal fur garments sleeves, my heart pounding in my chest. The whirlpool's roar grew fainter as I fled the collapsing ruins.
As I ran, my body began to heal from the wounds inflicted by the crumbling stones to show off my status of a True Luna wolf. My pack's innate abilities kicked in, mending my cuts and bruises.
I didn't dare look back though, fearing what I might see or maybe the whirlpool's return might consume me too. The pack lands were my only sanctuary.
I ran until exhaustion claimed me, my breath coming in ragged gasps. I collapsed beneath a tree, my mind reeling with the events.
Riven was gone. The thought echoed in my mind like a mantra.
In the ruins …in those eyes ,I couldn't help but have a thought appear before it vanished again but now I recall
… this was my last moment with Riven Moon, our Last Alpha of the Frost moon pack
