“Nicole! It’s so great to see you!” Nicole’s old colleague, Samantha, stopped by the cafe the day after Nicole had visited the mall. They had talked about getting together for dinner, but Samantha had a new baby and with preparing for Baby’s First Christmas and hosting a lot of family in the coming week, it was going to be too difficult. Instead, Samantha stopped by for some cannolis and coffee to bring in for her last day in the office before the holidays. Besides, getting in later that day would be excused if she supplied breakfast.
