Chapter 4 Nicole drove down the cross-street so she could enter the back of her cafe, out of sight from the huge mob that was waiting by the front door of the cafe. She didn't know why there were so many people there. Was Susie having a problem managing the cafe, or did everyone find out about the murder already? Nicole took in a deep breath as she opened the back door. Shaking a bit, she was still feeling very rattled from having discovered Adam’s body—Adam’s ice-cold, dead body—only hours before. “Here goes!” she said to herself. She hoped getting the cafe in order, especially while all the patrons were in the Christmas spirit, would help her forget about the incident, perhaps at least for a minute or two. Besides, she had her work cut out for her, since the next day would be wiped out
