Chapter 13 “He's a grieving widower, Lia. And you're telling me to just go ahead and kiss him to break the ice? I don't think so. Not my style and I don't know how I feel about any of this. Can we focus on the murder, please?” Nicole pleaded with her friend. “I don’t mean to upset you, but you can’t keep letting life pass you by, Nicole. You spent so many years focusing on your career and academics that you never let a relationship get serious. And while I’m sure he misses his wife, he does seem ready to move on. It’s been a few years now.” Lia looked at Nicole, who was red-faced with her head down. “Of course you’ve done wonderful things. I especially like that your life is in excellent financial order, but I want you to be happy and for you to enjoy your personal life more,” said Lia.
