Alpha Redemption

Chapter Two

Alex wakes on the floor of the basement, exhausted and very upset from the memories of the previous night.He looks at the restraining chair and sees the extent of damage the chair received. He he heads to his bathroom to check for bruises then goes about his routine workouts and heads to the shower to have his bath. Alex dresses up and picks up his files and work bag and leaves the house for work.

Alex walks into Harry’s cafe to pick a cup of coffee and walks into Katty and Emily discussing by the counter. He walks up to Emily and she takes his order as Katty goes to get the order. He asks Emily why the place is empty and she tells him that it is because they just opened. Alex checks his time. He checks her name tag and calls her name. He asks why she didn't put her name tag and she says that that was her first day and so she didn’t have a name tag. Katty comes out to the counter with the order and hands it to Alex. Alex pays for the cup and leaves. Katty starts asking EMily to share gossip on what Alex was saying but Emily does not share much Katty tells her that Alex does not talk to anyone if it does not involve his cup of coffee. The two girls continue their business for the day.

Maya drives into an estate manor and parks her car just in front of the house. She is welcomed by the butler who shows her into the house. She is shown to the study where she sits and waits for the master of the house. Ethan, Alex’s half brother, walks into the study and Maya stands up to greet him. He asks her about Alex and she tells him that she has left Alex. Maya asks him if he was serious when he told her that he wanted to be with her and Ethan says yes but that she chose Alex over him. Maya tells him that she chose Alex as a result of public perception so she does not become the girlfriend that abandoned her boyfriend at his lowest.

While Maya and Ethan are talking Sophia walks into the study and asks Maya what brought her to the Manor and Maya tells Sophia that she and Ethan are getting back together as a couple. Sophia goes to Ethan and tells him that Maya cannot be trusted, that she must have information about Alex to trade to prove her fealty. Maya tells them that there is no information, as Alex only cares about his business. Sophia tells Maya to go and come back with something that Ethan and the pack can benefit from or else, she will not be welcomed back. Maya looks at Ethan and he sides with his mother, so Maya agrees and she leaves.

Emily, Katty and a number of friends are going to the park for the fourth of July celebration. On their way to the park for the celebration, they see Alex as he is about to enter his car. He calls out to Emily and waves at her, she waves at him and Katty is surprised. Katty jokes to Emily that she, who is a stranger, has come to Greenville to steal every lady’s heart's desire. Emily just laughs and says that she doesn't know what Katty is talking about.

Alex crosses the road to meet them, he shakes hands with them and asks them where they are heading to. Katty tells him that they are going to the park and if he wants to join them that they would appreciate it. So Alex tells them to come and join him in his car so that they can go together. Emily and Katty go to join him in the car.

Alex joins Emily and Katty as they walk into the park to meet up with their friends. Brandon, Joana and Patricrio are already waiting for them in the park with drinks and some light junk food. Patricio brought a burner along so he is making some steak. They all get startled when they see that Katty and Emily brought Alex

.along. Emily introduces Alex to her colleagues, Brandon offers Alex a beer, which he receives with gratitude, Katty goes over to Patricio while Joana gives Brandon a shove. They all try to act normal but it is very obvious that Alex is not among his class.

As the party in the park continues, Brandon and Patricio try to engage Alex in a conversation on basketball and finance while Emily, Katty and Joana are talking about Alex. Joana and Katty are trying to let Emily know that Alex likes her. Emily tries to deny it but the other girls point out instances from where it showed that he likes her. They point out that Alex has not been able to take his eyes off her since they got here. Emily starts staring at Alex who looks up and catches her while she mildly looks away.

Alex takes his excuse from the boys and goes to meet Emily. He sits beside her and tries to find out if she's okay. Emily responds positively and asks him if he's alright which he affirms. He asks Emily when she moved into town and what brought her into town. She tells Alex that she used to live in New York but sometimes things don't go according to plan and she had to change her setting. She tries to find out about him and how he became the biggest fertilizer producer in the town and he tells her that he is from a community where they lived one with nature so he understands nature and plants. So after his university education, he started his company and luckily it has always been growing successfully.

While they are talking, Liam Kraven comes to meet Alex. Alex stands up and faces Liam square. Liam tells Alex that Alex won a contract that was secret to the public. He tells Alex that he was after the same contract. Alex tells him that in business, you win some and you lose some. Liam agrees with him but tells him that he's going to be watching Alex closer as he leaves. Emily asks Alex what just happened and Alex tells her that Liam is a competitor who is feeling bad because he, Alex, just won another contract over Liam.

The party in the park goes into full swing as they start shooting fireworks into the sky. Brandon and Patricio bring out their fireworks collection and join the crowd in launching fireworks into the sky. They all enjoy themselves as the party continues into the night.

Alex drives Emily home and walks her up to her door. Having him standing close to her, she gets nervous and starts fumbling through her keys as she looks for the key to open the door. When she finally opens the door, she looks up at Alex who is overwhelmed by her beauty so he leans in to kiss her and she kisses him back. They continue kissing as they make their way into the house and on the couch where they make love.
