 I watched her in the distance trying to creep up on him. She stepped on a branch and the sound sent her prey running down the dirt road. Atia quickly sped past him and grabbed him by his neck. I watched anxiously for her to sink her fangs in.  The sound of leaves crunching behind me caught my attention. There was a cub standing behind me. I was guessing that was it’s parent Atia was feeding on. I stared down at it as it trembled below me. I picked her up by her extra skin and pulled her close to my face. I hesitated for a second.
