HELPLESS LOVE: My heart only YEARNS for you!

It was 6:30a.m when the alarm went off in a small room of a shaggy neighbourhood when Diane grogily opened her eyes and adjusted to the rays of the sun the were reflecting down on her face. She climbed off the the bed and lazily dragged her body to the bathroom for a shower and after some minutes she stepped out with her hair still dripping as she went through her wadrope for something suitable to wear. After she was all dressed up she stood before the mirror, picked up that drier and gently dried her hair and when it was all dried up, she tied it up into a neat ponytail, applied soft makeup and when she was satisfied with herself she happily wakes of room to the kitchen. She whipped up a simple breakfast of an omlet and a glass of milk for herself and happily sat on the couch to devour it.As she was in the midst of savouring the deliciousness of the meal, the doorbell rung and without having to bother herself she knew exactly who it was and she quickly went and opened the door and as expected, her best friend Kara was standing on the other side of the door all smiles and they immediately embraced each other greeting each other a very good morning and they both marched back inside the house hand in hand engrossed in their conversation. Diane and Kara met way back in junior school and since then they had become the bestest if friends who were inseparable to the point that most people called them sisters which always made them very happy especially Diane who was orphaned at a very young age when both her parents died due to the collapse of a building that they were working at. The past month had been extremely hectic for two for they had been hunting for jobs since they had recently graduated from the university. They had applied to various companies all over the city hoping that at least one of them will definitely give them a positive feedback but no news had been received for a month now and the two girls were almost driven crazy because of anxiety and that stress if not being able.to find a job in time. After they had finished their breakfast, they stepped into the bustling streets of city G to embark on their daily hustle of hunting down for a job just like the other past days and as usual, both of them returned that evening extremely tired, hopeless and feeling dejected. Diane had her bath and as she was seated drying her hair completely lost in her thoughts, a notification popped up on her phone dragging he thoughts back to reality, she wanted to ignore it but then she thought it could be from Kara and once she ignored her texts things would definitely become ugly so she picked it up and opened the message but her eyes almost bulges out of her skull for the could not believe the contents if the message at all. She read it over and over again just to believe it was real and she even pinched herself on the thigh and the pain she felt was an indication that she really was not in any dreams but what she was seeing was the reality and the message read; " MISS DIANE KHAN, WE ARE HAPPY TO INFORM YOU THAT YOU HAVE BEEN APPOINTED FOR A POSITION IN THE FASHION AND DESIGN DEPARTMENT AT THE CROWN CITY DESIGNER'S EMBASSY. YOU ARE HEREBY CALLED UPON TO REPORT TO THE OFFICE FOR DUTY WITH EFFECT FROM TOMMORROW 8:00AM SHARP. WE ARE DELIGHTED TO BE HAVING YOU JOIN OUR COMPANY" H.R Dept. After reading the contents and confirming that it was real, tears could not help but flow down her cheeks for she was really in a dilemma for she did not find a job really soon, she wouldn't have the money to pay for rent and the landlord would have definitely kicked her out of the house and as she still in her ecstatic moods her phone rung and when she saw that it was Kara,she answered almost immediately because she wanted to inform her of the exciting news she had received but upon answering the call, an ear shattering scream came from the other side of the the phone that almost shattered Diane's ear drums and when the noise finally stopped Diane immediately asked "Hey missy! Do you plan on bursting my ear drums thus night heh?" and Kara giggled and apologised to her and said,"Girl I just have a very big juicy piece of news to give you so better be attentive ok," Diane was almost driven crazy by Kara's madness but that was one of the reasons they became friends in the first place so she remained silent went on for her to deliver her so called juicy fat news and then came her voice once again,"Diane guess what? I just got a notification from CCDE that I have been hired and can report for duty with effect from tommorrow," Diane not being able to believe her ears also said that she too had gotten a notification from the same company offering her a job. The two girls first became silent for a while and then Kara asked,"Sweetheart do you think someone is playing some dirty game with us right now?" At this point Diane was also thinking along the same lines and after pondering over it for a while they decided that they would have to go and check it out for themselves tommorrow just to be safe and sure. A free Thu had come to that conclusion they bid each other farewell and disconnected the call. Since it was quite late after the call they both went to bed to catch up with some sleep. And before Diane fell asleep she made sure to set an alarm so that she could wake up early the next day and not be late for her first day at the job. 6:00AM the next morning the alarm went off and Diane immediately woke up and started preparing herself to report to the office and because it was the first day,she wanted to find something appropriate to wear and she almost spent an entire hour looking for something to wear and when she finally found what she called the perfect attire it was just 40 minutes to eight o'clock and she was going to be late so she picked up her bag and placed everything necessary and was ready to rush out and go and when she opened the door she found Kara standing in the hallway holding a cup of coffee and gladly said,"I knew you would Not find time for breast so I got you a cup to go . What about that?" Diane was so happy that she immediately hugged her and the thanked the heavens for having granted her a gift of a friend such as her. The two girls quickly went out and hailed down a cab and headed straight to the CCDE building which was known as the landmark of the city because it was built so high and nobody could ignore it. The two girls couldn't stop chattering all the way to the company because they were too excited and abit nervous and when they got to the entrance of the building they were mesmerized by it's beauty however much they have seen it before. After giving each other the needed confidence, they held hands and stepped into the company lobby and once again they were mesmerized by the silence and organisation of the place not mentioning the high-end decorations. They slowly walked up to the receptionist at the front desk.
