Her last moments

604 Words
A rush of electric current viciously ripped through her body and rudely awakened her. Jerking forward as her muscles contracted fiercely in reaction to the shock, Kendra sucked in air through her teeth and nearly cried as the pain fully settled in. "Wake up, b***h! “ A cold, slender hand whacked her face impatiently, before boney, manicured fingers pulled at her hair. " Look at me, b***h, do you think I have all night to deal with you?" Kendra was still a bit out of it but she was sure as hell that the voice belonged to Miranda Ample. "Please," Kendra wheezed out, a dull ache rippling throughout her body. She squinted her eyes and opened them fully again, locking eyes with a very pissed off Miranda, "please, no more, please make it stop." Kendra pleaded, moving her body as much as her shackles could allow her. Why was Miranda doing this? She was her best friend's mother... No, former friend, yet she had tied her up to a chair like she's some animal and even ruthlessly tased her just below the ribs. Kendra realised that she must have been unconscious for some time because she did not understand how she had ended up on the rooftop of the Skylar Heights new office building. The Skylar project was recently finished but the opening, ribbon cutting ceremony to announce the building operation was only going to be held next week, which made this the perfect location to hold someone captive. Kendra knew that even if she screamed at the top of her lungs, even if she screamed until she tore her vocal cords, that no one would hear her... No one was coming to her rescue. "I won't make the pain stop, I have to get some satisfaction from seeing you suffer in your last minutes before you die! You are just asking for death, Kendra, you want to join your useless mother so badly, huh?" Miranda spat, yanking her head back and forth repeatedly. " No," Kendra cried out, barely able to speak properly. She couldn't die, no, she had just began her new life, "please, I don't want to die-" "What makes you think you deserve to live when my own daughter lost her precious life because of you?!" Miranda snapped at her, her voice thundering with rage. Kendra's glassy eyes filled with confusion and fear the more she saw that mad look in Miranda's eyes intensify. Kendra had never seen anyone look so unhinged and dangerous. " What are you talking about? Carmen is not dead-" A hot slap immediately silenced her. "You shameless b***h! I'll surely teach you a lesson you'll never forget today. You drove Carmen over the edge by being a manipulative slut and refusing to let Christopher go! When you left Christopher's house he fell for your tricks and broke up with Carmen and my beautiful, precious Carmen couldn't handle the pain and humiliation and threw herself in Grande River. Now I won't be able to retrieve a full corpse, if I can't bury my daughter then I'll make sure your soul never knows peace as well! They'll pick you up as mush from all over buildings and pavements in Sky street, your lousy family won't have a full corpse to bury, if they'll even care to bury you! You know how much they hate you." Miranda's words stabbed her heart like a double edged sword because they were a caustic, raw truth. The Harrison family treated her like trash and wouldn't care if she died, in fact they'd be more concerned with a bug's death than hers.
