"If you keep looking at me like that, little bunny…" His strained, well controlled, velvety voice with a raspy edge rudely snapped her out of her reverie and she immediately tore her eyes off him and looked out the window again.
Oh gosh. Her cheeks were blushing red, this was embarrassing. Say something! Say something! She mentally slapped herself.
"D-d- do yo- you know my name?" She asked, a shuddering breath quickly escaping her lips. God that was hard to get out!
Mr Handsome Stranger graced her with a dry scoff and a side glance. "You don't know your own name, bunny?"
"No," Samantha whispered, shrinking into her seat again. She was never going to wear this fluffy, light pink cropped top again. It even had bunny ears and whiskers, hence the new pet name, "that's not what I meant- you- you didn't even give me your name and-"
"You never asked for it, bunny." He interjected, again giving her a quick up and down stare that made her feel self- conscious.
When they took a turn for a private road, Samantha's anxiousness chewed her apart and she wore that smothering panic boldly on her face. There was no other house in sight, the road was deserted although well- lit and maintained. Seriously, where was he taking her? Her trembling hand reached inside her purse and retrived her phone.
Much to her dismay, her mom was not online. She texted her as quickly as she could.
Mom, what is the name of the person who has to drive me to uncle Dane's house?
Mom?
Mom, send me his picture. What does he look like?
Mom, I miss your sticky toffee pudding.
That was their code for, "I'm in danger, I need help"
The messages were received so why wasn't she opening them?
It's so good with ice cream and iced coffee.
Where was her mother when she needed her? f**k this, she had to call the-
"We're here, bunny." He gruffly announced so suddenly, she was so startled she flinched.
"Let me give you a little advice, bunny, don't ask too many questions, when the urge hits, put those sweet lips to better use."
"Ahh?" She gaped, furrowing her brows in confusion. Before she could ask for his name, his deep, darkly smooth voice cut in.
"Get out."
He didn't have to tell her twice. Samantha quickly unbuckled her seatbeat, opened the door and slid down, miscalculating her step on the landing and stumbling forward. She yelped as she nearly fell and looked behind her to see if he had seen her embarass herself and f*****g hell- he was staring right at her. How was he behind her already? How the hell was he that quick? "You carried me inside so I didn't know the car's this high.." she explained to him in her mind while she just stared on with parted lips.
"Th- thank you-" She said to him after he wheeled her suitcases towards her and only then did she divert her attention to her new, temporary home.
'Oh my f*****g gohh!' She gushed internally. The house was f*****g HUGE!!
