Anna opened her mouth like she was about to say something but Lucy held her hand gently and rubbed her palm. “You're such a playboy Jack! Today is your wedding and you are using the hotel for another wedding with Hannah” Tom typed in the group chat, barely focusing on the road as he drove. “Lucy loves me so much and she won't do anything rash. She can't do anything without me and you know Hannah has heart issues and I decided to help her experience a real wedding. That's not a big deal” Jack typed back. Lucy knuckles turned white as she clenched her fist so tight that her hand nearly moulded into a ball. “Guys, the wedding gown Jack bought for me was so beautiful. I feel like crying” Hannah wrote and sent a picture. “Isn't that the gown Jack claimed was stolen? Did he just give your custom made wedding gown to Hannah?” Anna furiously whispered again but Lucy held her tighter. “Don't alert him” she cautioned in a shaky voice. Anna swallowed her anger again as they continued reading the messages pouring into the group chat through the small screen in the car's back seat which was connected to Tom's phone unbeknownst to him. “Jack also got me a diamond ring! He said it worth 5 million dollars but I shouldn't worry about it but consider it as a gift” Hannah wrote again. “Wow.. I'm so jealous of Hannah look how much Jack is pampering her. Last month after he closed a deal worth 50 million dollars, he bought her a new Porsche” one of Jack friends, named Jason wrote. “Weren't you the one who closed that fifty million dollars deal with that Italian client but got only a two hundred thousand dollars bonus?” Anna fumed again but Lucy just nodded stiffly, staring out of the window. “Hannah is so fragile and can't be stressed incase her heart flares up again. She deserves more than just even a Porsche” Jack said with a tone of affection. Just then, a video was sent into the group. Tom clicked play, still very much focused on his phone. It was a video of Jack and Hannah exchanging marital rings and vows, smiling and looking like a real couple. “Are they crazy? Lucy, are you sure you want to go on with this wedding? If you don't want this anymore, I can stop this car and send you back” Anna raged on. “He'll change” Lucy softly replied her voice cracked and filled with uncertainty. “Yes he'll definitely change” Anna responded with a sneer turned away from her friend muttering under her breath. “Are you guys close to the venue already? Hannah is getting tired and I have to take her back to her hotel to rest.” Jack impatiently asked Tom. “Who's even the real bride among the both of you? First, he took the original convoy and used it to transport Hannah to the wedding venue. Before then, he didn't select that ring and didn't put effort into that dress, yet they both went to Hannah” Your hall is being used by her to have a fake wedding in front of your family, his family and friends. You as the bride had to look for a last minute wedding gown and hire a car just to get to the wedding venue. And you're even going without your groom who claimed he'll come back for you after dropping off Hannah” Anna analyzed without pausing for a breath. Lucy smiled faintly and looked at her agitated friend. “You know Hannah isn't in the best state of health and has to be treated well.” “Then if he so badly wants to be her personal nanny, let him get married to her for real. Lucy, what do you even see in him that made you want to marry him? He has only ever treated you like trash.” Anna said. “It's because I love him and believe that one day he's going to change. Believe me, there's nothing going on between him and Hannah, they are just childhood friends” Lucy defended again. “We're done with the vows and Brother Jack has been so amazing” Hannah sent another message along with a picture of her and Jack posing intimately. “You two look so good together!” Everyone in their group chat began to praise them and Hannah replied all with a love emoji. “Jack, your turn to take care of Hannah happens to fall on your wedding anniversary. How are you going to get away from your ‘’foolish” wife every year to be with her?” Tom asked. “I'll just tell her am away on a business trip.” Jack replied. “So everytime he tells you he's away on a business trip, he actually went to be with Hannah? Lucy, this Jack is literally a walking red flag” Anna admonished tugging at Lucy's arm. “It's no big deal, Hannah has heart issues and needs to be well taken care of” Lucy replied softly again. “Jack we're almost at the venue now, make sure you clear the group chat so your wife won't see it and get to know that every of your anniversary is going to be spent outside” Tom texted with a laughing emoji and put down the phone, still not noticing the screen that had displayed all their secrets. He deliberately cleared his throat and put on a hypocritical smile. “Ladies, Jack has been sincerely apologizing for not been able to pick up Lucy properly. Hannah had an episode and he had to stay back and take care of her. He promise to make it up to you Lucy” Tom tried to lighten the atmosphere, laughing as he spoke. Anna grew irritated and wanted to say something but Lucy pinched her arm hard, forcing her to retreat. “It's okay” Lucy quickly responded, putting Tom at ease. They finally drove into the venue and wasn't even able to find a proper parking spot. Anna helped Lucy hold her gown as they emerged from the door which Tom held open. Lucy tried to put on a smile and slowly walked towards the entrance of the hall.
