Natalie's POV No one would save me now. Their snarling grew louder, and more aggressive, like they were waiting for me to make one wrong move. I didn’t know how I was still on my feet. My knees felt like they could give out at any second, and my hands wouldn’t stop shaking. Their eyes were locked on me, wild and unblinking. I moved back slowly, but it seemed to make things worse. They also looked like they were running out of patience. The black one moved closer. I screamed as I awaited its weight on me, but it never came. Something stopped it. A voice. His voice.
