1043 Words
Elena went to the restroom, when she was cornered. Elena slipped into the dimly lit restroom of the prison, seeking solace from the chaos that surrounded her. As she leaned against the cool tile wall, her mind raced with thoughts of the uncertain future that lay ahead. Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching, and before she could react, she found herself cornered by one of the gang leaders. Her expression was grave, her eyes filled with a strange mix of fear and anger. "We're sorry, Elena," she began, the gangleader, her voice low and vicious. "But we've spoken to the father of the child you're carrying, and he doesn't want anything to do with it." Elena felt her heart lurch in her chest at her words, confusion and disbelief washing over her like a tidal wave. "What do you mean?" she demanded, her voice trembling with emotion. "He doesn't even know I'm pregnant." As the gang leader's words sank in, Elena felt a cold chill run down her spine. She had never expected this twist of fate, this sudden turn of events that threatened to upend her already tumultuous life. But as she struggled to make sense of the situation, the truth dawned on her like a cruel revelation. The father of her unborn child Williams, had been in contact with the gang leaders, his wishes relayed to them without her knowledge. With a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, Elena realized that she was truly alone in this world, her fate at the mercy of forces beyond her control. And as she stood in the dimly lit restroom, her mind reeling with the weight of the news she had just received, she knew that this was just the beginning. Why? What has she done to deserve it? She had taken Anna’s place! She was doing in the prison instead of Anna. Did he really hate her so much? Like I told you before, the child gets to live only as long as the father want it. If he doesn’t want it, it dies. Please! You’re women like me, some of you are mothers I’m sure, I will do anything just don’t harm my baby. But they laughed evilly. You can do anything right? Fine, I want you and your child to die, can you do it? We are not women like you we are worse than you. Elena huddled in the corner of the dimly lit cell, her body trembling with fear as the gang closed in on her. With each blow that rained down upon her, she felt a sharp stab of pain shoot through her, her cries echoing off the walls of the cold, unforgiving prison. As the gang continued their merciless assault, Elena felt a surge of panic rising within her. She was pregnant, vulnerable, and utterly defenseless against her attackers. With each passing moment, she prayed desperately to a higher power, pleading for protection for the precious life growing within her. No wonder, she thought Anna had been the mastermind behind it all, but Anna didn’t have such resources. To bribe both the officers and the inmates, almost all of them. It had to be some who has the money and power to bend the rules, and that was Williams. Why really? “Please stop! That’s enough.Don’t come over.” “Don’t blame us, it’s just because you have offended the wrong person”. Then they attacked her all together. As Elena was knocked to the ground by them, she knew that she couldn’t resist, so she could only curl up and protect her abdomen, hoping they won’t harm the child. "Please," she whispered through gritted teeth, her voice barely audible over the sounds of her own agony. "Please, God, protect my baby." As the gang's relentless assault continued, Elena's mind raced with thoughts of regret and despair. How had she ended up in this nightmare, surrounded by violence and cruelty, with no hope of escape? With each blow that landed, Elena felt a surge of anguish wash over her, her heart breaking with the knowledge that she could do nothing to protect her unborn child. Tears streamed down her face as she clutched her swollen stomach, willing her baby to hold on, to stay strong in the face of unimaginable pain. But as the minutes stretched into minutes, Elena felt a sense of dread settle over her. A stream of heat from her legs. The blood flowed freely now, a chilling reminder of the fragile life that hung in the balance. She panicked, and cried out, help me… someone saved please… When they hard her, they covered her mouth so the officer won’t hear her . Her face getting paler, and her eyes where deathly empty. If not for the baby perhaps she would have died a long time ago. No, I can’t give up l. I can’t, just let the little life go. She opened her mouth again, and screamed, they slapped and covered her mouth again. Elena tilted her head, it really hurt, but she didn’t care. She just wanted to save the baby in her belly and shouted. Help…… somebody please help. “b***h” the leader covered her mouth. She did not dare to make things public. So she ordered the other people. “Hand me the knife under my bed.” At that moment, the door was pushed open. Shocked and terrified they stopped immediately and and looked at the officer. What are you doing? He asked petrified of what he was seeing. They quickly squatted in the corner with they hands folded around their head. Save my child please, Elena who was lying on the cold floor, pleaded with him. It was the same guard who help her before,he looked at her pity, carried her, walking quickly to take her to the infirmary before things escalated. When he got to the door, two other officers blocked his way. What is wrong? Leave the way before she dies! Then they told him that he couldn’t take her to the hospital. Why? Can’t you see she is bleeding? Do you want her dead? We are sorry, but you can’t leave here. She has offended someone very dangerous, she has to face the consequences.
