In the depths of a prison notorious for its brutality, Elena found herself enduring one of the worst tortures imaginable. Bound and beaten, she teetered on the edge of consciousness, her body wracked with pain. Each agonizing moment stretched into eternity, pushing her to the brink of despair.
As she collapsed onto the cold, unforgiving ground, Elena felt the weight of hopelessness crushing her spirit. Thoughts of death whispered seductively in her mind, offering escape from the torment that engulfed her.
She was tired. If she resisted at anytime, they would attack her all together. They hit her so hard that she fell unconscious, they still didn’t stop, just when she wanted to give up, at least she would met her mom.
Just as Elena felt that she might die, a guard took pity on her, stopped them and took her to the infirmary.
As Elena lay in the sterile confines of the infirmary, while unconscious the doctor ran test on her. After the examination, the doctor looked at her with complicated eyes. You’re pregnant. The doctor's words hung heavy in the air, confirming what she had dared not believe: she was pregnant.
"What?” Elena couldn’t believe it.
The doctor signed, staring at her with pity. Take good care of yourself.
She knew that she will likely not give birth to a baby, safe and sound here. But the news gave Elena hope.
The baby was like the light in the night leading her way .
She knew that she had to be strong for her baby, that she must protect the baby at all cost.
Elena thought of Williams the baby’s father. But anyway, this was her baby.
Uncertainty, fear, and a hint of joy battled for dominance within her heart. Yet, amidst the confusion, one thing remained clear: she had to protect her unborn child at all costs.
The major thing she could do was to endure all the humiliation until the child was born, she was still hopeful that Williams will keep to his word and find a way to discharge her before six months .
No matter what they did to her, she gritted her teeth and endured it.
In the dimly lit confines of the prison cell, Elena sat with her back against the cold, damp wall. Her once fiery spirit had been extinguished by the harsh reality of life behind bars. The other female inmates had made it their mission to break her, to strip away any semblance of defiance she had left.
But Elena had a secret, one that she held close to her heart, one that gave her the strength to endure the torment and abuse that was inflicted upon her every day. She was carrying a child, a tiny life growing within her despite the bleakness of their surroundings.
At first, she had fought back, refusing to be cowed by the bullies and the brutes who sought to crush her spirit. But as her belly swelled with the promise of new life, Elena made a choice. She would endure their taunts, their jeers, and even their blows, if it meant protecting the fragile existence growing inside her.
The other inmates were taken aback by Elena's sudden submission. They had not expected her to crumble under the pressure, to break like so many before her.
It almost 5 months that Williams promised her that he will try to discharge her still nothing, she didn’t hear from him.
As usual she stayed in her corner, rubbing her tummy.Suddenly, the door was kicked open revealing her jail mates.
The two most notorious one among them, their eyes were fixed on her stomach.
Are you pregnant?
Elena's heart hammered in her chest as she faced the piercing gaze of her inmates. "Are you pregnant?" they demanded again, their voice cutting through the stifling air of the cell room. Panic surged within her, but she fought to maintain a facade of composure.
"No," she lied, her voice barely above a whisper. She couldn't afford to let them know the truth, to put her unborn child in danger. But the inmates wasn't convinced, their eyes narrowing as they studied her closely.
"You think we're stupid?" the inmates spat, his tone laced with contempt. "You always have your arm wrapped around your stomach. Don't insult our intelligence." We are also women just like you.Elena's mind raced as she struggled to come up with a response. She knew she was running out of options, that her lies were unraveling before her eyes.
"Please," she begged, desperation creeping into her voice. "Please don't hurt my child. Please, I'll do anything you want, just please don't hurt my baby." Tears welled in her eyes as she pleaded for mercy, knowing that her words were her only hope of protecting her unborn child.
"Very well," one of the inmates said, his voice dripping with malice. "You will do as we say, without question or hesitation. And if you fail to cooperate, your child will suffer the consequences." Elena nodded, her mind reeling with the weight of her words. She had made a deal with the devil, but it was the only way to ensure her baby's safety.
Listen don’t think we are allowing you to keep this Child because we care, she said pulling her head hard. I’m only leaving you because we weren’t paid to harm your child. Our payment was to hurt you and break you not the child.
She laugh horribly after, But don’t think we’re being lenient with you, if we are able to discuss with the person who sent us and they don’t want your baby alive. Trust me I will personally flush it down the toilet myself.
Elena was shocked.. who sent you ? So someone paid you to do all this ? Who? Please tell me ?
Shut up! You don’t ask the question around here. Just consider yourself lucky for now. Do you understand me.
Yes! I do.
