Preparing to leave (3)

I didn't know why that person had this kind of effect on me but when he asked me the question it had my heart racing as if I was committing a crime. He always made me scared of him and at that moment my brain turned into a mess and I didn't know what to say.  I relaxed myself for a while then I spoke as if he was not worthy of my explanation "Whoever it was it's none of your business." He smirked at my reply and in the next second he was sitting in front of me, his face was so close to me that I felt that he was consuming my oxygen too.  "Really" just one word and it was as if he was just extracting the answer out of me. His gaze was so intense on me that when I tried to look away I could not and soon my breathing was getting ragged.  As usual I was stubborn and tried to push him away by placing both my hands on his chest and applying complete force while I answered breathing heavily "It's none of your business, get away." He grabbed my wrists and smirked again while moving his lips just closer to mine, before I could turn my head he licked my lower lip "Then let me make it my business." I gulped at his words and my face quickly shifted to the other side as I rushed my answer "It was a friend from my world that I am still in contact with and I told him that we were coming." He didn't back away even though I gave him the answer leaving the key parts out then his slow laughter rang in my ear "Is that it." I tried to calm down my racing heart beat as I replied "Yes" His voice became cold "Do you take me to be a fool." My poor heart that had just calmed began thumping so loudly that it felt as if it would come out of my chest very soon, I gritted my teeth and replied in anger staring right into his eyes "You - I regret going on a mountain climbing trip so much, had I known I would get a headache like you dragging along I would have just sat at home and read a book." He let go of my wrists and stood up straight "Too bad that you regret it because that is the best thing that happened to me. Moreover it is too late so you better give up whatever you are planing." My heart skipped a beat at the thought that he might have heard what I said but in the next minute it skipped a few more beats when James suddenly came closer to me once again but this time there was nether gentleness in his voice nor eyes. I could not figure out what emotion was there in his eyes because at this moment it was hidden under the coldness of his eyes. Suddenly the temperature felt like it dropped to a fewer degrees in the room sending the chills down my spine and then came his cold voice "If you escape this time or try something stupid with me trust me I won't be as gentle and patient with you as I have always been." His words felt like he had stuck a dagger into my heart and I could not help but gulp and subconsciously move my head a little away. He straightened up again "Go take a bath" It felt like I had been granted a new life so I quickly sprinted towards the washroom. As I closed the door, I stood there with my back against the locked door. I placed a hand on my chest to calm down my racing heart but it didn't stop as each word that James said was clearly ringing inside my head. I took in a deep breath and told myself that the only way he can find me is through my scent and if I remove that then what more will he have. If he is never able to find me I will be free and with these thoughts I was finally able to calm myself down after all my priority was to get rid of him.  When these thoughts made my mind clear, I took a deep breath and then took a shower to clear my head further. After I was done I felt completely relaxed and came out. James was already dressed and when I came out he scanned me like an x-ray machine sending shiver down my spine. I took in a deep breath but his voice didn't let my body relax instead I was standing stiff in my place. He stepped closer and said "You are so beautiful I jsut can't take staying away from you." I didn't say anything and walked towards the mirror to do my hair but the worst part was I could feel his gaze on me which never left me even for a second but now it was getting on my nerves and I was getting irritated so I just quickly combed my hair and gritting my teeth I stomped out of the room. Soon he was by my side and his hand slid on my waist. I turned around to glare at him and move away from him but as usual he pulled me closer by my waist and whispered in my ear in an intimidating tone "Be good" Those words were enough for me to stop moving away from him and without knowing I started moving to the place where I had to get the things. We went to the hidden magical market that was named after a famous wizard Alvin, Alvinelly. I bought all the things I would require to prevent anyone from recognising me and then I bought the things that I would require to escape from James without him noticing. He didn't understand my reason for buying so many things and as he knew nothing about them, I could easily buy them without much questioning. I had disguised myself to prevent anyone from recognising me so shopping went easily an we were finally done by the evening. Next I booked the tickets to go to the place I promised to never return. I could feel the uneasiness that James was feeling because everything thing was going so smoothly and I was being way too obedient so when I lay in the bed he wrapped his arms around me pulling me into his chest and he said "Whatever you are planning won't work." My heart began to race at the thought of how does he know what I am planning.
